"I had an unpleasant experience at touchstone resort. I checked in and got a room. After a while, we realized that the kitchen sink is half filled w water and there is no water supply, the faucet is wrapped by a maintenance rag. We were shocked and we had to rush to the restaurant for dinner as it closes at 8pm. We reported it to the front desk before dinner, then they said they know and they need to move us to another room. Why would they give us this room at first??? When we get the new key, we needed to pack our stuffs and moved to another room which is farther that we had to drive at night time. When we got to the new suite, it's nicer and bigger however the kettle is rusted and the kettle whistle is missing, the towel hanger is falling apart in the bathroom, the sliding door is not lockable, not working. I see hair on the pillows. It seems like it's not well maintained during off season. I'm glad that I'm only staying for one night. But the lake view is nice. "

The kitchenette in my room was a fantastic feature – well-equipped, clean, and incredibly convenient. The location is absolutely perfect, with easy access to everything I needed during my visit - note there is a pharmacy, hotels and the Muskoka Discover Centre around the corner. But what truly sets this hotel apart is the extraordinary staff. When I checked in, I was exhausted from traveling and half-jokingly mentioned to the woman at the front desk that I desperately needed chocolate cake. I honestly didn't expect anything to come of it – after all, the hotel doesn't serve chocolate cake. But to my absolute amazement, she took my request seriously and promised to find some for me. I thanked her politely but privately wondered how on earth she was going to make that happen. Well, she did. The dedication and genuine care this staff member showed went so far above and beyond normal hospitality that I'm still impressed. It's this kind of personal attention and willingness to go the extra mile that transforms a good hotel stay into an unforgettable one."
