Wake up to a beautiful view of Lake Charlevoix from this fully furnished home in Horton Bay on the preferred sandy north shore. Perfect for families!

Enjoy your morning coffee while taking in the view from an Adirondack chair on the porch, or at the table in the enclosed porch. The cottage is completely furnished including linens and towels for all five bedrooms and three and a half baths. The kitchen was completely remodeled in 2025. Includes all new stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, double wall ovens. Or if you'd prefer to cook outside, fire up the oversized gas grill on the attached front porch. Enjoy roasting marshmallows over the large in-ground fire pit, firewood provided. Relax in the very large newer hot tub.
The cottage is also a short walk to the over one hundred year old Horton Bay General Store, with a lunch counter and dining area that can provide delicious sandwiches or old fashioned ice cream, along with other amenities.
Desirable location to Petoskey, Charlevoix and Boyne City. All within 15 minutes of the cottage. Only 5 miles to Boyne Mountain skiing. Direct access to the Boyne- Charlevoix bike path which connects to the Little Traverse Wheelway, Boyne Mountain trails and many others. Perfect spot for all access to Boyne Thunder, which passes right through Horton Bay.

All rental groups must be single family, meaning must be related by blood or marriage due to a township ordinance. No large parties or gatherings are permitted. Rental check in/ check out day is Monday during summer season. Please contact owner for further details.

Very private. Owner was super responsive. Great layout to the house. Bedrooms on 2nd and 3rd floor with 3 full baths on the top 2 floors and a half bath on the ground floor. Worked out great so the early risers could use the kitchen, laundry, etc without worrying about waking anyone. 3 season room with a huge hot tub is awesome. Nice backyard-private with really nice fire pit with beach/lake right there. Location is really nice: easy to get to Boyne City, Charlevoix, Petoskey, Harbor Springs to eat, shop, etc. Would highly recommend if coming to this area.

Family holiday getaway

We had our adult children and young grandchild (8 people) stay here for the week! What an incredible location! The beach, the dock, the well stocked house! Absolutely fabulous! This house was perfect for our family getaway! Loved taking day trips to all the cute towns within 20 minutes.

Family Friendly Property

House was perfect for accommodating for us grandparents and our two adult sons, their spouses, and 6 young children for a week. Kitchen was well equipped, great laundry appliances, nice bedrooms, and a big porch overlooking the lake. Kids loved the clear lake water and sandy beach area. House was extremely well-stocked with nice paper goods, soaps, toiletries, etc. Just bring your bathing suit and enjoy!

Beautiful Charlevoix

Beach front great for kids with dock and sandy shallow water. Amenities included yard games, beach chairs, sand toys, blow up toys, fire pit, and BBQ to make for an action-packed fun- filled week. A short walk to the General Store. Baguette sandwiches pricey but amazingly fresh and delicious. Owners were communicative and gracious.

Family Christmas 2022

Stunning, secluded and great for our family Christmas celebration. We arrived to two feet of fresh snow (excellent skiing) and on the day we left it was 50 degrees. The space was exceptional and offered everything we needed. Property manager and owner were accessible and and made our stay perfect. Think we will have to come back in the summer.

Wonderful location in Horton Bay

My wife and I had a group of ten...us, our two children and their spouses, and four grandchildren. We definitely filled up this house, but had a blast. The children loved the beach which was clean and not muddy like many Michigan lakes; no silt to speak of. Only complaint was step on the dock to the water was broken, and another set had the first step essentially on the surface of the water making it difficult to climb. Deck itself was beautiful, made of fiberglass (?) not wood, so no splinters. otherwise, great experience.

Family vacation

Our family has been coming up to Lake Charlevoix from Texas every summer the last 12 years to escape the heat. This was our first time here and we have already booked for next summer! The location is absolutely majestic and peaceful and the house is large enough to accommodate our growing family. We hope to come for years to come! Both homeowner and property manager were very easy to get a hold of and very responsive. Definitely give the highest reviews!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Our family, grandparents and parents and children, had an enjoyable time at this residents. We had a beach for the preschoolers. There was a wonderful fire pit for nightly gatherings. Our son-in-law had a nice dock with a lift for his boat. Each family had their own bathroom. That was a huge asset. The teenagers watched a movie each night in the entertainment room. Our other son-in-law was able to check into work on his computer. Great internet. This residence fit all our needs!

Perfect stay!

My family just spent a glorious week at this property. It was everything it billed itself as and more. The beach front property was perfect, excellent fire pit, the kitchen was well appointed, beds extremely comfortable, loved the hot tub, perfect location with quick trips to Boyne, Charlevoix, and Petoskey and the room layout fit us perfectly. We'd definitely stay here again!

wow Spectacular property

Great location - you feel like you have the lake to yourself. wonderful private entrance, Sandy beach, firepit was great at night. Nothing is better then sitting with a roaring fire, the waves rolling in on the shores, the wine in the hand, and the friends and laughter all under the star filled canopy. 2021 Family Gathering

My wife and I hosted a family reunion including our 2 children, their spouses and 4 grandchildren. This Horton Bay property provided the perfect venue for our time together. The house, surrounding property and dock were spacious, well maintained and provided all the necessities required for a wonderful lake experience. The owners, Eric and Kelley, as well as the local support team were all very courteous and responsive.

Perfect family lake house on beautiful Horton Bay

Our family rented this lovely home on Horton Bay the week of June 12-19, 2021 and we had a wonderful time! The backyard was so nice for little ones with the shallow clean water and wonderful sandy beach! Had lots of fun around the fire pit and the large grassy area was so nice for lawn games. The 5 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths were great for our extended family and the large pretty dining table hosted many delicious meals and card games at night. Would highly recommend this beautiful property!
