"After a disappointing initial check in experience where I was greeted at midnight by a rather unfriendly member of check in staff, the next day my request for a better room was obliged by a kind new staff member. Since I was staying five nights, I was given a room on the 7th floor with nicer views and which was in better condition than the initial one on 3rd floor. The hotel is very well located for walking or getting the metro to other parts of the city. I walked to Brooklyn bridge and also went to Park Slope for breakfast each morning! Interactions with other guests you encounter in the lobby and lifts were also a nice aspect of my stay here. The room was comfortable and great space for me to work while I was there. The only thing to be improved would be to try enable a more consistent level of friendliness and service among the staff at check in. "
