Our stay was quite nice at this gorgeous beach front hotel. Our room was spacious but really run down with stains, broken tvs and a broken phone. All inclusive does not include bottles of red wine which were really expensive. The spa was wonderful and the staff despite several booking errors was helpful and accommodating.

Privilege Aluxes was wonderful, from the private beach area to our hot tub on the balcony we enjoyed every minute. Michael and Jaime in guest services were prefecto! Jaime has shared about an excursion the day before, but I was undecided. I called at 10am the day of and Michael got us on the 10:30 excursion, it was seamless! Gordiddi and Jose, a couple of the outdoor security guys, went above and beyond to help park our golf cart, greeted us in the street and make sure we had a good time on Hidalgo. Edwin was wonderful in explaining all the amenities and Jesus was wonderful giving details at checkout

Very rude staff. Nothing was included, not water or food. Drinks were terrible. Very hard to come by any cold water. Have to wait an hour for sub par room service. House keeping very inconsiderate. No privacy. Barged in our room on us many times. Our ocean front balcony was actually overlooking the cemetery and trash area for the resort. It smelled. They only wanted to clean the room while we were in it trying to nap, then got defensive when we told them to go away. They have "5 restaurants" but one is just poolside snacks, 2 are reservation only and just on certain days, the one we did manage to get was inedible. Dont ever count on your mini bar getting refilled. Do not stay a week, or at all for that matter. It was hell, hot hell dogshit. Ps; theres only 3 types of terrible skunked beer that they dont bother to refrigerate.

This property was nicely maintained, very clean and aesthetic. We did have issues with our toilets flushing, and some staff wasn’t very welcoming. Overall, I would stay here again but might forgo the all inclusive option as dining was very limited, and we were so conveniently located to all the wonderful food on Hildago. Satay was a very good restaurant within the hotel.

Pool bar, met wonderful people, drinks were semi fast and good. Music could be described at contemporary jazz… in the evenings there was a decent local band.

The location could not have been more centrally located to North Beach, the malecon, and centro. There were a couple of staff members, Jose (bellman) and the wonderful lady who was the omelette chef who deliver exemplary world class service. The room was clean and well maintained. The property was more elegantly designed and appointed than was evident to me prior to booking. Beach time - lounging by the beach at this property is far less than ideal. First, you have a minuscule amount of space from the time you step into the ocean until you reach the buoy. Swimming is impossible because people are compacted in the tiniest area I’ve ever seen. Swimming on the other side of the buoy is highly inadvisable because right up to the buoy and alongside it boats of all types are constantly speeding by or yelling from loud speakers on party catamarans for everyone to clear the water so they can dock in the tiny area allotted to this hotel. Despite staying in an oceanfront property we had to pay for visits to other beach clubs in the area that were alongside better strips of the beach with more access. We purchased AI solely to enjoy drinks and snacks on the beach, as we knew from other reviews dinner service was not good. Service ranged from apathetic to surly & the food was inedible. Drinks were equally bad. Watched a Paloma being made, it was a glass of Fresca & splash of tequila. We gave up after Day 2 and opted for beach clubs we paid for during the remaining days of our stay.

Property and amenities were great. Beaches were nice other than the boats pass by too close to swimming area. Great service to your shady beach cabanas. Waiters will bring your drinks and food to your cabanas.
