We've been coming to this property for years and it never disappoints! The hotel is well kept, the food is excellent, and the staff is the best! I like that it's adults only (14 ), this year was the first year I've seen a teenager since they went to adults only.
I am sad to see the rest of the island getting so busy/commercialized but that's what happens to all of the great places. We will very likely return!

Look for a better option.
Room was musty, mildewy and smelled awful (can’t emphasize enough how bad it smelled). Shower tiles were loose and tub drain didn’t work at all. Shower water was lukewarm. A.C was inefficient and likely cause of atrocious odor. Minibar fridge kept a chill, but nothing cold. Renovation and construction starts early, don’t expect to sleep in. Asked to upgrade to platinum suite (no availability). No vacancy to even switch rooms left the only option to have maintenance come try to fix it - didn’t want to spend vacation babysitting repairs. Reported to management after checkout and was quickly dismissed for not reporting it while I was there.
Hotel lobby staff were impolite and hassled us constantly. Previous arrangements made well in advance were not honored for vendors and wedding party hair and makeup to be done in our room. Our visitors (large group and they had no availability to accommodate us all) we’re constantly chased out of the lobby and beachfront area). This was done in a way other guests approached to ask why they were treating us this way. Super embarrassing and humiliating.
Food and drinks were mediocre. Better lunch and dining options in the immediate area. Liquor is off brand and nothing top shelf. Mixed drinks especially watered down and sugary. Bartenders are the unsung heroes.
Perhaps adequate for a couple (if you like to wake early before all the construction and lawn maintenance), but for a group look elsewhere.

We would like to clarify that, for security reasons and to guarantee the comfort of our guests, Privilege Aluxes does not offer day passes nor does it allow non-residents to enter our main facilities, there are exceptions such as in this case, since you didn’t comply with the agreement we had. We are pleased to inform you that the bar and restaurant of our Beach Club do accept non-resident guests, renting sunbeds based on availability or consuming a service since it is a private area. The safety of our guests is of the utmost importance to us and is one of the reasons why many of our guests return year after year. Our team strives to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all of our guests. Furthermore, We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this noise may have caused during your stay. We understand that noise can be disturbing at times. However, we would like to highlight that this renovation process is essential to keep our facilities in optimal condition and provide you with a more comfortable environment in the future. Despite all this, we have never had any negative reports from you about the room, but without a doubt We would have helped you. Regarding the comment from our staff, we will send your kind words about the great service offered. I love staying at Privilege Aluxes. This was our second time at Privilege. The property is always clean, the wait staff is always polite and we love the food. The reception at the front desk was not so great this time, as they were not a welcoming as they were in the past. I will say, they did get us checked in very fast, but we did not receive that welcoming smile as we had on our previous stay at Privilege. Our room was very small this time of stay and the ac was not working well, so it was uncomfortable at night. I did go back to the reception desk, and was not greeted with a smile again. I was told they would contact me if a room came available, but I was never contacted. The pool decking does have some nails coming up that need some attention, but over all, this resort is my favorite place to stay on the island. We love the Beach and Pool staff! They work extra hard in the heat and sun, and they do it with a smile on their face, making us feel welcome.

Resort on the decline! Our third visit and each time it’s worse. The rooms need updating, showers have no benches or place to put shampoo, and the sliding glass doors are very hard to open. The staff is short handed and over worked, and the management visibly reprimands in front of guests. Liquor is watered down and off brand, and the food was horrible at thier Resturant called Satay. We will mot go back, and talking with people in the pool, they felt the same way
