I am so very glad that I chose this hotel. It is near to absolutely everything. I was shocked to walk out the back door of the hotel to find that the famous Torre de Reloj was right there ! Then I realized that Parque Centenario was right across the street from the Torre de Reloj. Money Exchange service is right across the street from the hotel. The rooftop pool was very relaxing after a hot day of exploring. The staff was wonderful. Estefany (sp?) helped arrange a motorbike tour for us and assisted my interaction with a nearby pharmacy when my husband got sick and even arranged to have the medicine delivered directly to the hotel. The mini-bar is stocked with water, juices and Gatorade which came in very handy. It’s essential for such a hot climate. Two of the restaurants that I went to, Alma and Espíritu Santo, were no more than two blocks from the hotel. It wasn’t until I had been there for two days that I realized how close I was to so many points of interest. I would absolute stay here again.

Great place. Rooms are clean and have a lot of space. Staff is super friendly. Hotel is just behind the clock plaza. Great ambience. Next to the police station. Super safe. I really recommend it.

Do not waste your money.
This is definitely NOT a four star hotel. Nor does it deserve a 9.0 rating. Though in a great location, the room we were provided upon checkin has seen better days - it was worn out, shabby, dirty, and smelly. There was no hot water in the shower, which meant a quick shower. The shower floor wasn’t level at all so even a quick shower meant water just flooded out onto the hotel room floor, the standing water that remained in the shower just pooled in the corner and never drained, even by morning. I am assuming repeated water flooding / drainage issues contributed to the state of the floor where large portions were warped and peeling, and the overwhelming mildew smell. The humidity from the non draining shower and the Cartagena heat basically made our room a very smelly sauna. The toilet also overflowed-thankfully it was clean water. We were supposed to stay 3 nights but checked out after one.

The property is really well situated near the clock tower. The breakfast was good apart from confusion on what was available. Set menu item's was very different and not flexible until I spoke to the manger Raphael. He was very accommodating. Limited coffee My room was larger than expected with a balcony. Shower door was awkward as it swung into the shower instead of out. Safe is not anchored to anything and could be removed from the room easily
