Nice property, great location. Easy to get downtown and to the beaches if Mt Pleasant. Great pool, but it wasn’t open! That was a main reason for picking this property. It’s 25 degrees most days, fair to expect it to be open so that was really disappointing. When you advertise a hotel with a pool you should clearly state if it’s not open. That was a dealbreaker for us.

The employees were friendly and helpful The main lobby and breakfast areas were adequate and fairly renovated. The rooms however are in dire need of renovations. The carpet had large stains. A lamp bulb was completely broken. The dresser was rotting in the corner and the fridge dripped water. the door locks jammed leaving us unable to get in. I did not visit the pool area so I can. It comment on the cleanliness nor condition of that area.

If you are looking for an economy stay with good location close to Charleston, this is a good option. Personal at front desk and during breakfast was kind and helpful. Something nice was cookies and iced tea, daily at the lobby as complementary as also maps of the area. Our room and bathroom was very clean with confortable beds and pillows. The season was not to enjoy the pool but it looks very clean.Breakfast was not delicious but at least we have waffles, baggels, cereal, eggs, bacon, sausage, apples, coffee and juice as options to eat before to start the day and save time. Something not positive was the doors, the entrance door lock was very hard and the bathroom door not closing propertly. We had problems with the heater settings but the temperture was ok and we didn't report it. In general was a good experience for the price.

Not bad for the price

Clean enough that I felt comfortable. Building could use some updates, but again, mostly clean. There was zero toilet paper in room when we arrived. I tried to call down to desk to request some but room phone didn’t work at all. I know in most cases people just use their own phones these days so I didn’t even mention it. Breakfast food was decent, but dining area was a bit small so we felt a bit rushed to eat so others could have a table. Bedding comfortable. The sink being outside the bathroom was a bit of an inconvenience as it meant the early riser’s morning routines disturbed those still sleeping.
