Minor inconveniences but still my go to hotel
I generally stay at this hotel at least once or twice a year when visiting family nearby, and I've seen it go through many changes in the last decade or so. It has definitely improved many aspects that were slipping, and the friendly service has usually made up for any inconveniences in the process. It seems each room has its issues, and this time it was the shower door in rm 307 that would roll back open--hard to shower with one foot holding a door in place. It was mentioned to the front desk but nothing was done before the next day's shower. The heat in that room was also hard to regulate, though no issues in other rooms I've stayed in here. Still, the convenience and quality for the price keep me coming back.

We like the size and amenities in our room. It has a queen-sized bed, desk and chair, kitchenette, couch and coffee table, and two chests of drawers. It has a shower (no tub), and a big bright mirror in the bathroom. The kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, a coffeemaker, and a sink. Another amenity is the complimentary breakfast with hot foods as well as other customary breakfast items. We were very impressed and feel is is a good value.

Very close to the Kenwood Mall which is very nice and moderately upscale. Stayed overnight for a weekend Christmas shopping since there are many shopping choices in the area and we live 2 hours away. The king suite was very spacious, bed was comfortable and bath and shower area I think outstanding for the price point. The breakfast wasn't bad either with plenty of choices as well.
