The home was the perfect size for our family. Plenary of room for 7 people. Each room has a nice TV, the beds were comfortable and the host was great. I left some items behind and he made sure I got them.

While other places I’ve rented can seem like quick flips to turn into rentals and have cheap furniture or fixtures, this place really felt like staying at home. It was cozy and had lots of space for my family of 6 adults. It was about a 15 minute walk to the square and we appreciated the convenience of the location without being to close to those busier/noisier areas.

Good Gathering Place For Our Family

The house was as-described, with a table big enough for all of us to sit and a comfy couch. The beds were comfortable and we were very pleasantly surprised by all the small touches like snacks, small shampoos. There were not enough towels for all of us, so I recommend the owners add two more sets of towels, since the place sleeps 8 and there were only 6 sets of towels. Communication with the owners was good, but not super quick. We really loved the Loco Cafe in walking distance down the street and ate there for breakfast every day!

This was such a perfect find for us! It was minutes from family, beautiful and comfortable as advertised, and Eric was professional and communicative. I will definitely look for this when I’m Denton again!

We rented the property for TWU graduation, while the house was well laid out for a family and in a great location. However, our adventure started with NO communication from the owner with how to access the house. So a long call with Expedia that ended with conferencing in the owner, who provided the code. We asked for him to still send the welcome letter which he never did. So after hours in the car we tried to settle in only to find out only 4 towels were provided for a place that supposedly sleeps 8. The next morning we discovered that there is NO HOT WATER and one of the toilets ran all the time!!! 2 days later (the afternoon before we leave) the hot water system was repaired (but the toilet was still running). While the owner communicated it was spotty and included a text after we left asking about a missing remote (could have been viewed as accusing but I am trying to not taking it that way).

Just right for a brief visit to Denton!

One of our easier experiences with a VRBO property. The home was within ten mins of our family. Many restaurants nearby to drive to. Communication was great w owner/manager. We didnt have to clean for 2 hrs prior to leaving- very reasonable tidyjng was requested. Only complaint would be housekeepers or else previous renters placed dirty dishes (many) in cabinets but we cycled them in machine and that was fine. Driveway lights were malfunctioning as was a side door but we were able to use front door. Key coded door worked flawlessly. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfy. Sofa was large and all decor was modern/current and beautiful. Really no complaints and we would stay again.

NLC Graduation Trip

We needed a place for my family to stay to celebrate my Son’s graduation from NLC. This property was centrally located between the places we needed to go. Also we had plenty parking for local family to visit. I would highly recommend this property as it is very well kept and accommodating. The coffee bar was a very much appreciated.

The First Place is First Rate!

We stayed at The First Place for three weeks while visiting Denton friends. The house is beautifully decorated in a way that makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The kitchen is well-supplied with everything you need to cook meals. The beds are wonderfully comfy! Eric and Angela were very responsive and addressed issues (we had a couple of small issues with the smoke alarm and wifi) quickly. And if Denton is your destination, you can't beat this location--a short walk to TWU, Quakertown Park, and the square. We loved our time at The First Place and highly recommend it.

Great home- great location!

This home is roomy, comfortable, and has all that you need for a great stay - including comfortable beds and flexible hosts. Even better, the location is walking distance to the Square, the Library, and many shops and eateries. Particularly close 2-3 blocks) are several really good restaurants. Located in a very quiet established neighborhood - I felt very safe and comfortable! Definitely a repeat location!
