If it is rainy, cold, or you just feel like playing games there is a common game room with a pool table, ping pong, large screen TV, high top tables and couches for your comfort to enjoy!

Self-Service Convenience Our property operates much like a vacation rental—easy, convenient, and designed with your privacy in mind. While our office is not staffed full-time, we offer mobile check-in, so you can skip the lobby and go straight to your room upon arrival. Our friendly staff is always just a text or phone call away should you need anything during your stay. We are here to ensure you have a great experience—without the hassle.

Location, Location, Location Blue Star Motel is ideally situated for exploring the best of Saugatuck-Douglas. A block away, you’ll find a grocery store, convenience liquor store, and a laundromat for your convenience. Several dining spots are within walking distance, and the famous beaches of Saugatuck and Douglas are just a short drive away. Plus, with a bike path across the street, it's easy to explore the area on two wheels. We are also just a short walk from the heart of Douglas, with its quaint shops and local charm.

No hot tub or continental breakfast, but several excellent breakfast and dining spots are just steps away.
Our motel is located next to the highway, and while our rooms may be cozy, they are clean and comfortable. A dog is allowed with pet fee of $100, pet not exceed 100 pounds. By renting this cottage you are agreeing to the following rules:

(All rules are strictly enforced)

1.) All of our rentals are non-smoking.
2.) You and your guests are using our home at your own risk. We nor the owner of the property will be held responsible for any injuries that occur at the vacation rental or for any lost or stolen items.
3.) There is parking for one cars in front of cottage.
5.) Each room has a maximum number of guests that is listed on this contract you must verify that it is correct. That number is not to be exceeded - this includes children and adults.
6.) A dog is permitted with written approval and payment of pet fee. No more than 1 dog not over 100 pounds. Pets must not be left unattended at anytime and must be on a leash at all times. Repetitive barking will lead to early departure without refund. If a pet is on the property without permission then there will be a $500 fee and it will be required that the owner board the pet immediately. You are required to pick up after your pet.
7.) Damages are to be reported during your stay. If we find damage after you vacate, you authorize the charge to your credit card for replacement or repair or provide another credit card number, pay by cash or check. Damages reported upon arrival will not be guests' responsibility.
8.) Cleaners will come to the cottage after you have departed - they will not visit to clean, change linens, or replace towels during your stay. Please contact the office should you need assistance during your stay regarding any cleaning items.
9.) Grills are to be cleaned after each use.
10.) We do not tolerate loud groups and college like parties anytime of the day or night. Drinking games are not allowed on the property. Neighbors must NOT hear you inside or outside the cottage after 10pm nightly per the local ordinance. This is also important because the Room is attached to another room so you must be considerate and aware there is an attached Room.
11.) You are at least 25 years old and will be able to verify with valid identification during your stay if needed.
12.) All common area at the motel is for the use of current guests of the hotel only. Common area can only be utilized for guests whom are currently staying at the motel. Only current guests of the motel can be on the motel property.
13.) No fireworks.
14.). Gameroom is open from 8am to 10pm only, pets are NOT allowed in the game room and it is for use of the guests of the hotel only. Please keep noise levels down so other rooms can not hear you.

*Disclosure: There are cameras with sound in the common areas of the Motel.

These rules are strictly enforced due to NEW city and township ordinances. This contract is the only warning you will get. If any rules are not followed all local fines, security deposits and any other charges will be charged to guest and the entire group will be asked to vacate the property. This communication is necessary so that your vacation experience is a good one for your group and our neighboring community. Please ENJOY your stay!
