Booked a cabin last minute during a snow storm for me and my two Border Collies. The owner actually called me to make sure that I knew it was a camping cabin - which I thought was super nice. He brought down a second heater in case the first one didnât warm the cabin up enough.
It was a camping cabin so rustic. No WiFi or cabin itself so I skied up closer to the main house to pick it up when needed.
Gorgeous and peaceful surroundings!
Will definitely return in warmer weather to check out the multiple swimming holes!
The cabin itself was cozy, located deep in the mountains, beautiful view of the rolling creek behind the cabin. Very quiet environment. However, we were told by the property manager that anywhere you see a water spout, thatâs good for drinking but absolutely every water station they had did NOT work. Also, the reservation details stated that the property will provide bedding and that turned out to be not true. Thank goodness, we brought our own bedding. It said the property had shared bathrooms was turned out to be a porta potty next to the cabin. The cabin did not have a ceiling, only paper insulation! Which to me increased the possible risk of a fire.
Didnt know what to expect when booking and once we arrived it was different than expect. Not necessarily in a negative way but just different. Cabin was super basic. Had electric which means it had heat, refrigerator and microwave but did not have AC. It did have a box fan which helped. The charcol grill and fire ring were nice to cook over. Very quiet and peaceful place.
He has a nice set up. It is a camping experience for sure, I had a great time. The cabin had a nice fridge, a microwave and several beds. It's a great place to come for a couple days with some groceries and just disconnect. The river and the scenery is really nice.
There is a shower house and it is private.
Perfect place for a quiet getaway!! The check in was easy and the staff are excellent! I stayed in Cabin D which was just a few feet away from the creek. Will definitely be back again!
We did not know there would be no linen in the cabin. You had to walk around 100 feet to get to the porta john since there was no bathroom in the cabin. I would not want to try and go to the bathroom at night in that country. I'm not sure how I missed that really important information when booking. This was a spur of the moment trip while my husband was having good days while being treated for cancer. We drove to the cabin, went in after finding the light, turned off the light and left. We found a motel in another town. I should have realized there was something off with the price.
Absolutely adorable little cabins. A bit better than expected and very clean. The general manager was a very delightful person who had all needed information about the area. He was also very polite and considerate. The property has a very unique and easily accessible creek that was very beautiful. Itâs a very rural location but thereâs a small fuel station with anything you could need like 3 miles up the road. We didnât stay very long but it was a fantastic experience while we were there and we plan to visit again this summer!
