The rooms were ok, but the outside property could use attention. The pool was green and murky. The balcony walkway was dangerous as the carpet was coming up causing a tripping hazard. The gravy was cold and my AC wasn’t working properly.

Blue Door Inn- near RMNP

Clean room, free breakfast, free adequate parking, and easy access to Rocky Mtn National Park. This is exactly the type of accommodations I like for visiting national parks out west. You might even see wildlife outside during your stay at the Blue Door. And the Mountain view from our room was amazing.

Poorly maintained: torn carpets on walkways. Swimming pool was green (algae.) Staff not rude but not friendly. On the positive point, breakfast was good, quiet and clean.

My family lived The Blue Door in for its convenient location to the RMNP entrances. The room was clean, bright, spacious with comfortable beds, coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge. Parking right outside the door and 2 large windows, one of which looked out to the big grassy area (Mountain View) and adorable little chipmunks running from burrow to burrow. Quite entertaining! The folks at the front desk were kind and helpful; complimentary breakfast offered a lot of selection and was a great hearty start to our long days hiking. The location is on the highway heading into Estes Park downtown, but it was really quiet, peaceful, and just a 6 minute drive to the park entrances and a quick drive to the downtown dining and activities. There’s an in-ground pool, but nobody seemed to use it. I would definitely stay here again!
Comfy beds, spacious room with lots of natural light. Mountain View and cool disco color-changing shower head! Night shower light show!

Basic Clean hotel

Stayed here over the Fourth of July. Easy access about a mile and a half from downtown. Clean room. Outdated bathroom and old mattress. Pretty views and easy check-in. Hot tub broken and looked like it had been in disrepair for a long time.

I rented two rooms. Room #1 the lamps and outlet were broken and tub wouldn’t drain. Room #2 had no AC. We had some last minute issues and didn’t check out until right at checkout, 11 am, but our keys stopped working at 10:30 am, which caused more issues with getting out in time. Friendly staff.

The room was small. It was clean. Bed was comfortable. Old worn furniture. The covering on the walkway was worn and tore up in a lot of places. Could create a trip hazard. The breakfast was only fair. The hotel is very old. Ok go one night. Very expensive for this level hotel.
