Donati Luxury Tower Suites

This was a fantastic hotel room- we had a great stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for high end rooms right in the heart of Florence. It was a short walk to the Duomo, Accademia Gallery, and Uffizi Museum. The roof top terrace has unbelievable views of Florence. The hotel staff were great. We loved the hotel, and will definitely look to stay here again on our next trip to Florence. My only word of caution regards the valet parking- we drove into Florence and they picked up the car from the hotel. It was hard to find the hotel with google maps, and the narrow streets were full of pedestrians making it difficult to navigate- better to leave the car outside of the city and take a train/bus/taxi in.

The room was amazing with up to date technology, the best view of the duomo and comfortable amenities. The rooftop deck was closed so we were disappointed we could not use the spa or admire the views. We had emailed the property before arrival to ask if there was any construction and they said no, everything is open and working since it is a brand new facility. We were disappointed when we asked to book the spa on the rooftop deck and were told that it was closed for construction. We also did not realize there would be an additional charge to use the spa because the room we booked said that it was included. Overall great location with wonderful luxurious rooms

Everything about this property was unique and well thought. Appreciated the interior design and attention to art and finer details. Truly enjoyed the way in which the stone and wood from the ancient tower was incorporated into the design. the apartment did in fact feel luxurious and very efficient.

Amazing 1BR apartment in the 13th century tower. The design and the choice of materials is very good, the apartment is almost sound-proof (you will still hear the bells of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore in the morning). The only negative side I can think of is the communication with the hotel staff. There is a reception desk in the tower itself and it is said to be staffed till 10pm. During our 2 nights stay I haven't seen anyone there. So for both check-in and check-out we had to go to another hotel reception (2 minutes away).

Great location, but hotel trying to save money

Hotel advertised that there was a pool and in fact there was not a pool for guest use. Furthermore, hotel didn’t send cleaners each day.
