Also, be sure to check with Fort Myers Beach vacation rental hosts before booking, as many that we know and know are not yet rebuilt are showing pre-Ian photos.
The first level is the only space that remains under repair. The second two levels are where the bedrooms and common living areas are. There was no hurricane damage to these areas.
House is beautiful 5 bedroom, 3.5 bath, non-smoking home. House is located at the north end of the island near Times Square, the new Margaritaville Resort, and the popular downtown and Bayside Park areas. Our house sleeps 12 excluding an inflatable twin mattress and the pack-n-play. No more than 13 guests can be accommodated due to fire code, no exceptions.
House is fully equipped - towels, linens, soap, shampoo, etc. are provided.
You'll find the outdoor space as nice as anything you'll find on the island right now. Your outdoor oasis and over-sized, heated pool are ready for you to enjoy. We're told that the pool is the largest private pool on the island and is heated to a constant 83 degrees (pool will be warmer than that from May-October as we don't cool it). Beach chairs, pub tables, outdoor grill are all ready for your use.
Free Wi-Fi. Xfinity high def cable with more than 140 channels and the extra sports package. All bedrooms include wall mounted, HD TVs with cable (4 of 5 with smart TVs).
You're going to find more than you expect - certainly more than you'll find in most vacation rentals. We have a pack-n-play, highchair, booster seat. We have two high-capacity washing machines and two dryers. We have hair dryers in each bathroom plus a hair straightener in one bathroom. Far too much for us to list everything included in this space.
Notice to guests: Southern Serenity has outdoor security cameras. They are not concealed and clearly visible. They are for security purposes only. There are no concealed cameras and no cameras inside the home.

Great family vacation spot
It was a beautiful house with all the amenities you could think of. We have stayed at several vrbo’s this was the first one that had 2 pack and plays for infants. Our whole group thought the place was amazing we will definitely be coming back. Even the neighbors were great .

Great place with plenty of room and nice pool. Close to the beach and town
Great communication with host. Easy to access the propriety. It was still under renovation when we stayed but host was clear upfront and very honest about it. Enjoy now as it is not yet too crowded in FMB

Our Hosts have quite possibly one of the best places on Ft Myers Beach currently to rent a home. Everything is up to date and working very well even amongst the destruction of the hurricane. They were consistently communicative with us. 100 out of 10 stars!

Our Best Florida Trip Yet
Exceptional host communication, property location, layout of the home, and one of the most well stocked kitchens for cooking at home would be enough to unquestionably return to this VRBO again and again. The neighborhood and neighbors will seal the return deal. In fact, for the first time in our extensive travel planning we were looking to book next year before even leaving for home. We are two families traveling together. The layout of the home provided enough space and privacy for everyone. The pool is large and the area around it is easy to gather in. The kitchen was so well stocked we lacked for nothing in all seven days of breakfast, lunch, and dinner at home. Drip and Keurig coffee machines. Dishwasher tablets and laundry detergent provided. Spices. Coffee filters. Paper towel. Plenty of towels. All of those things that just make setting up house so much less costly and more convenient. It is clear these are experienced and aware hosts. Maybe five minute walk to the beach and that is with small children (ages 5-8). There are not many businesses open post hurricane on the island and the devastation is real! This never subtracted from our experience (except the sadness you can’t help but feel for this community), as we felt so welcome in this home and by the neighbors. Brad and Shelley were completely transparent in what to expect during our stay and every part of this experience exceeded our expectations. I think our kids will be sending Christmas cards to the neighbors for years to come—that’s how great they are! We could never say enough good things.
We fell in love with this place. That’s probably the best way to say it. : )
As with all my reviews—easy and friendly running and biking on or off the beach.

Great Girls Get Away
My friends and I travel all over the world this was a snap decision knowing that we could be there during a hurricane. We had a fabulous time the weather was perfect the host is right the pool is probably the largest private pool on the island it is absolutely stunning the house was clean it had all of the amenities we needed and it was a short walk to the beach for a sunset every evening. There were six of us and there are six beds in the house it was perfect! If I could give the host 10 stars I would we will definitely be booking this place again. It is in the perfect location a Fort Myers Beach close to all the fun restaurants bike rentals convenience and grocery store we didn’t have to leave we were in paradise.

Family vacation
The home is well furnished and ready to host a family of all ages. The pool makes the beach a secondary choice. Everything you need for the beach, pool, meal prep and just kicking back is there. A high chair and boster seat made meals much easier for the todlers. The visitor guide provided by the host was so helpful. Easy walks to restaurants, coffee shops, and stores as well as bike/scooter rentals.
Our family trip of 6 adults and four kids was a huge success because of your home.
One thought from the parents of the todlers would be a baby gate (to block the stairs) to add to your great accessories.
