Stayed in Standard Room Valentines Weekend. Clean room, friendly staff and comfortable bed. They do charge an extra $5 per night for parking. Biggest complaint with the room was a very small bathroom. The toilet was (no joke) 2 inches from the tub which made it very awkward. Probably going to stay elsewhere next time

The property is in need of some updating and maintenance. There is no space in the bathroom to put a shaving, cosmetics or toiletries bag. Everything has to be stored outside the bathroom. One dresser drawer was broken and unusable. Water temp and pressure was good. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Breakfast is in a separate building in a huge room and the room was unheated, making our single breakfast visit uncomfortable. We drove into Pigeon Forge the other 5 days for breakfast. There is a downtown shuttle stop right in front of the hotel making it super convenient to get into Gatlinburg and avoiding having to pay $20-40 for parking. Parking at the hotel is $5/day that we didn’t expect. Not awful, not great and not nearly as expensive as the hotels in town.

It’s hard to find a nice place to stay near Gatlinburg that is also affordable. I paid more to stay here, hoping for clean and well-kept. Stink bugs, cob webs, peeling paint, bathtub enamel chips and slow draining, very sketchy elevator. Posted signs at breakfast are less than welcoming. Also charged daily to park in their lot. Motel is wanting a rustic feel, fell short from neglect.

The room and hotel are not depicted well in their photos, the room was old, the heater put off a smell that stayed in your clothes, we couldn’t open the back door to the balcony for the extremely large spider webs that were around the door, the front door didn’t Harding shut, and had a huge crack for all your heat to exit and air to come in. The water never got hot in the shower, so it was like warm at best. Then the bugs of all types, which clearly came out when we were away because when we came back we spent our time killing them, getting them out of our beds, or our hair in the mornings, in our suitcases. The beds were comfortable but we froze with the draft in the door. Bring extra blankets if it’s winter time. The room is extremely noisy. This is definitely not a long stay kind of place.

The room felt neglected. There were spider webs in every corner & stink bugs everywhere! When we went to the front to let them know Rashawn was extremely dismissive and made it seem HE was upset that we let him know there were bugs in the room. He did not even apologize instead just told us to have a good night. We later went to the front to talk to Jessica about our concerns & she was AMAZING she apologized multiple times & gave us a discount for our next stay. If you book just be prepared to kill insects the entire trip.

Loved our stay at Brookside Lodge. Easily accessible to downtown, and the stream outside our balcony was the best feature. Provides nice white noise. My mom saw a bear in the distance and it was the highlight of her stay.

Did not have cleaning service every day. Poor mattress, very uncomfortable. Lighting in room poor with unaccessible plugs. Pillows were horrible! Charged a 20.00 parking fee. No shower just step in bathtub. Hated room. Do not stay there!
