Welcome to Slinger Ridge Retreat, a private 880 sq. ft. cabin near downtown Gatlinburg and the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Designed for couples, honeymoons, anniversaries, or a small family getaway, the cabin combines a quiet wooded setting and mountain views with convenient access to town.

KITCHEN

The kitchen includes an electric stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave, cookware, dishes, and cooking basics. The coffee bar includes ground coffee, whole-bean coffee, K-Cups, Nespresso pods, filters, and flavored syrup. We also provide salt, pepper, assorted spices, oil, paper towels, dish soap, hand soap, and dishwasher pods. Foil and Ziploc bags are not provided.

LIVING ROOM

Relax with coffee or a glass of wine in front of the gas fireplace, which is available October 1 through April 1. Play the Multicade and board games or stream your favorite shows on the 50-inch Roku smart TV. Please bring your own streaming-service passwords. The sofa converts to a bed for additional guests.

DECK AND OUTDOOR SPACE

The wraparound deck includes the private hot tub, outdoor seating, and space to enjoy a meal with mountain views. Outdoor yard games are also provided.

BEDROOM AND BATHROOM

The private bedroom has a king bed, Roku smart TV, and an en suite bathroom with a jetted soaking tub. Towels, bathrobes, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided.

GOOD TO KNOW

The cabin sleeps up to 4 using the sleeper sofa, but the only bathroom is accessed through the primary bedroom. The cabin is reached by a narrow, one-lane mountain road. A 4-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended, especially during poor weather or for drivers unfamiliar with mountain roads. Wildlife, including bears and deer, is common; never approach or feed animals. The hot tub is drained and refilled between stays, so it may need time to reach temperature after arrival.

The red tape:

-Please read through our entire listing and make sure you are comfortable with all of our house rules.

-Please note we do require all of our guests to sign a rental agreement and authorize a security deposit hold on their credit card within 48 hours of booking in order to stay at the cabin. You won't actually be charged anything unless damage occurs to the property, it's similar to what happens when you rent a car. If this is not completed, we will be forced to cancel the booking.

*We STRONGLY recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance for peace of mind and protection as we do not have any control over the weather or other things that may happen on your end.*

- All guests must be 21+ (children with parents are allowed). We do make exceptions on a case-by-case basis. If you have questions, please reach out to us and ask.

-This is a smoke-free home, including the deck. No smoking of any substance, including vaping. If you smoke on the property, you will be asked to leave without a refund and be charged an additional cleaning fee of $500.

-No early check-in or late check-out. If you arrive early or depart late there will be a $50 charge. If you depart more than one hour past your designated check-out time, you will be charged for an additional night.

- Absolutely no fires inside or out. Unauthorized fires (including candles) will be charged $100 plus damages.

- 4 Human max. If you bring more than four guests, you will be asked to leave without a refund.

-We kindly request that you refrain from placing hot objects such as pots, pans, and baking dishes on the quartz countertops as the heat generated can result in unsightly burn marks on the surface. In the event of such damage, it will be your responsibility to bear the cost of repairing or replacing the affected countertops.

- No pets. If you sneak in a pet of any kind you will be charged an additional $100 and you will be asked to leave without a refund.

- No parties or events of any kind. If you host a party or event, you will be asked to leave without a refund and be charged an additional cleaning fee of $300.

-The hot tub is available for use by all guests, including children with the supervision of adults. You are not allowed to use the hot tub if you have consumed alcohol or you are pregnant. Use the hot tub AT YOUR OWN RISK!

*The hot tub is drained and refilled after every stay to ensure cleanliness, which means there is a good chance that the hot tub may not be ready to use for your first night. It is a large amount of water and can take hours to heat up to temperature. This is standard practice for all cabins in the area, and you will run into the same issue at almost any place you stay. If you want to use the hot tub during your stay, we recommend you check it upon arrival to make sure it is set to your desired temperature and is working properly.

- No refunds for weather/natural disasters/power outages/early guest departures/other things that are beyond our control.

- You will likely see and hear critters due to being in the wilderness. It is very common to see bears in the Smokies.

- Condiments, ziploc bags, foil, and charcoal are not provided.

-We provide a starter kit of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, laundry detergent, dishwasher pods, hand soap, dish soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. For extended stays, you may need to purchase more.

-Our cabin is located in the mountains, so while it is not a necessity, we do recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle not only for coming to the cabin but for getting to all of the other attractions that the Smoky Mountains have to offer! There is a narrow one-lane road leading up to the cabin.
