7 women get a way!
Wonderful home and accommodated 7 women beautifully. Tranquil, quiet and peaceful. The creek literally runs by the home and you can hear it lull you to sleep from the upstairs bedroom! Several sitting areas to retreat too, the steam shower was a must for us all to try, and the kitchen was fully stocked with all that we needed to cook our meals. The town is very cute and close for grocery’s. We all recommend the drive to Breckenridge!!! What a great town to shop, eat, and walk an amazing trail system. You can bike or walk between Frisco and Breckenridge. Another must… the hot springs!!!! We had a day there to use the mineral pool, hot springs, and of course, added a much needed massage. Another must in my opinion!!!! The only two things I would recommend the houses would need- a tea kettle and kindling/ fire starters for the wood stove. There is plenty of wood in the shed but some may struggle to start if your not a pyro like me :) We enjoyed a fire every night. Thank you for such a great home!

Great mountain retreat, centrally located
We rented the 3 Owls Retreat for a spring break family gathering/ski trip, which coincided with the March 2024 snowstorm in the Front Range. Communication with the host was uniformly positive, clear, and helpful. The instruction manual for the property is probably the best I've encountered in my limited experience. We spent a lot of time together in the kitchen and open format dining/living room, which worked well. Bedrooms and furnishings were all more than satisfactory. As mentioned, the area had 30+" of snow in about 36 hours. This shut down I-70, as well as nearby ski areas; power was out for about 18 hours. Fortunately, the hosts anticipated such situations and there were lanterns, backup jugs of drinking water, a downstairs LP fireplace & upstairs wood stove which were sufficient to heat the home. This foresight was very much appreciated. This property is located a short distance up a gravel road which, under normal conditions, is readily passable by a standard 2WD vehicle. With this snowfall, the main paved road didn't get plowed until well after the snow ended (understandably), and the local road serving this property and others up the valley did not get plowed at all by the time we left. Our gang of teenagers pitched in to clear enough for our cars to get out but it took most of a day. Overall, this property is ideal for mid to slightly larger gatherings of family and close friends. Nearby Idaho Springs is a good home-base. We wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Perfect Mountain Getaway
Our group of 11 adults had an excellent stay at Liz’s cabin and more than enough room to spread out during the day and night. Liz was responsive before and during the trip and answered all of our questions. The cabin feels remote and has a beautiful view of the adjacent wilderness but was easily accessible from Denver. We enjoyed lounging by the wood burning stove and cooking in the well-appointed kitchen. When we wanted a change of scenery, the restaurants and stores of Idaho Springs are just a few minutes drive away, as well as many excellent hiking trails. Our group is already talking about a potential return trip!

perfect family retreat
We really enjoyed our time at this cabin. The cabin had everything we needed to make our meals in the kitchen. We enjoyed being able to hook up our phones to the sound system that plays on all levels. The 12 people we had slept comfortably. The views in the morning were amazing. Downtown Idaho springs is like 10 minutes away. It has a yard that the kids played in, very rare for a cabin. The host was a great communicator and reached out to us prior to our visit and responded promptly when I had questions. We highly recommend this place.

Gorgeous home
We have an amazing time in this beautiful mountain home. We loved cooking in the large kitchen. Rooms were comfortable and our group had plenty of space. We would all stay there again (especially if a hot tub is added). They had fun clues to solve a puzzle around the house which added an extra layer of fun.

Quiet getaway, close to Denver
Great location and convenient to Denver. Very private and quiet. House was clean, but yard could use maintenance. Large dining room for our group of nine to eat and play games. All the different seating areas throughout the cabin allowed for our group to spread out and relax. As it is three levels, there are lots of stairs so be prepared. The house got really warm in the day, but they provided floor fans. Very well-appointed kitchen and meals were great to prepare. The outdoor grill was not clean and could benefit from deeper cleaner and regular maintenance. We spent most of our time outdoors, and this place has lots of outdoor space for seating, and a large level grass yard for yard games. We never could get one fire pit to work, so glad there were two on the property. The yard, walkway and fire pit areas could benefit from some landscape maintenance. There were LOTS of weeds and the grass could have been mowed. The outdoor sofa furniture around the fire pit in the shade could use new cushions as they were very dirty, worn, and uncomfortable to sit on. A family of fox visited every day and was the highlight of the stay. Fox and hummingbirds during the day, and star gazing and falling stars at night. Our host was very accommodating. She even ordered a new corn hole game when she found out our group played it. If I could rate the house separate, I would give it a 4, but the yard was a 3.

Cozy mountain retreat
The house is amazing! There was plenty of space for everyone and purest areas to all hangout together. The wrap around deck is so enjoyable and the yard is equipped with fire pits and yard games. We had the best time.
