Glamphouse Muskoka

A unique couples getaway experience in the heart of Muskoka.

Blending into the rustic beauty of Muskoka nestled on the forest edge at the top of a historic patch of Canadian Shield granite rock.


Your cares will melt away as you breathe in the fresh Muskoka air listening to the movement of the trees with the sun warming your soul. This private getaway is surrounded by forest and is pitched at the top of a hill on the edge of a clearing away from all the other cottages in the area.
The space
The cabin is located in Gravenhurst, ON approximately 10 min drive from town. It is placed on a private section of land at the top of a small hill surrounded by trees. It is up behind the lakefront cottages of Gravenhurst Bay, Lake Muskoka. It is a chic 100 sqft cabin known as a “bunkie”. This is an off-grid “glamping” experience. The cabin is stylishly appointed. There is a small kitchenette area to prepare food with a small sink using a foot pump connected to provided water jugs. Gourmet coffee is provided as well as a French press. Cooking utensils, pots & pans, dishware and cutlery are provided. Cook gourmet meals using the outdoor BBQ which includes a propane side burner for heating pots & pans or boiling water for dishes. There is a queen size bed in the loft with plush sheets and pillows provided. Extra blankets are on hand along with board games and a few books. The large deck outside is well appointed with screened area, aka the Muskoka room, providing an additional 100 sqft of living space to relax and disconnect to reconnect. A cooler is provided but guests must supply their own ice to keep food and drinks cold. There are battery operated & solar lights both indoors and outdoors. Water jugs are provided full. Additional water is accessible via town water supply tap approximately 5 min drive near the wharf. Propane is provided for the BBQ. Limited wood is provided for the campfire - Please follow local Fire Rating, NO DAYTIME BURNING as per bylaws. There is purposely no WiFi. There is no running water. There are no shower facilities however, there is an elegant outhouse with composting toilet steps away from the Glamphouse.
Other things to note
This is a "Glamping" experience. There is no shower. There are bugs (especially mid-June to mid-August). There is no running water only water jugs that supply a sink with a foot pump. The outhouse is outfitted with a composting toilet. There is no stove or oven only a BBQ with side burner. Hot water is heated in a kettle on the side burner of the BBQ.
