Beautiful Luxury Cabin With Pool / Private Hot Tub
Start your day with a soothing cup of coffee on the screened in porch while enjoying nature. This all wood home is nestled in a beautiful nature preserve just steps from the banks of Lake Goshorn and minutes from quaint downtown Saugatuck and Douglas. Kingfisher Cove is a charming and serene vacation community located just minutes from Saugatuck Dunes State Park and some of the most pristine beaches in the world.
You'll appreciate the beautiful boardwalk to Goshorn Lake, private hot tub on the rear screened in porch, community pool, convenient location and easy access to shops, dining and activities in downtown Saugatuck and Douglas. Make sure to bring your fishing poles for lazy days on the boardwalk.
The cabin was lovely and the private lake was clean and fun to swim in. The location was perfect for time in Saugatuck, Douglas and Holland. Saugatuck Dunes State Park was just around the corner. We were very happy with our stay.
We stayed at this cabin for a quick girls' weekend with 3 generations of my family. We enjoyed our stay. The hot tub is fantastic. The layout of the cabin is as described. The kitchen was well stocked even though we didn't use it during our stay. The amenities are great. There is a fabulous smelling lilac bush near the front porch which was pleasant upon arrival. Quick walk to the boardwalk/lake. Small community off the main road which is quick and easy access to nearby towns and restaurants. Communication with the owner was fantastic and timely, super friendly. Would recommend this cabin!
My mom, two sisters and I had a great weekend at the cabin. It was a quickly planned trip meant to be sort of a staycation and this place was the perfect vibe. We took advantage of the fireplace and the hot tub (even in 11 degree weather!). The area is great as well - itâs a quiet location but very close to restaurants/things to do - even in the winter! On top of it all, Elisabeth made sure I had all the info I needed to plan ahead for the stay and throughout, and check out was a breeze as well.
My family of 7 enjoyed the cabin, the pool was fabulous, hot tub perfect for enjoying in evening and fire pit was used for sâmores and hot dogs! The owner was very responsive. I did think the photos made the property look larger than it was. My only suggestion would be a good deep clean and the exterior needs attention, screens were torn and need cleaned, rear porch door needs attention, leak under faucet. Close to everything.
We have rented this property a few times in the past few years. This was the 1st year we noticed that the property could use some TLC.
Positives: Great location, pool, and hot tub. The owner has always been responsive.
Things to Improve on: Cleanliness and updates needed- downstairs bedroom smelled musty and there was a lot of dust on a lamp and under bed- cleaning service doesn't seem to be doing a thorough job. The bath towels could use replacement and chipped toilet seat should be replaced. There was also a broken drawer in the fridge.
Area was very nice. We kayaked on the lake, which was beautiful. The pool was very nice except when a family showed up and the father proceeded to toss his kids around in the pool, splashing everyone and as a result, many people left. The house was nice but couldâve used a good cleaning. Spiderwebs on dining room chandelier. The carpeting upstairs was old, worn and stained. The kitchen was not very clean, and the cupboards contents looked as though someone just threw the pots and pans in them. Only had one roll of paper towels and three trash bags. Very little laundry detergent which was odd as we were required to start a load of laundry before we left. The dishwasher detergent box was broken at the bottom and looked pretty old. Thankfully we brought paper towels and detergent. Knives were extremely dullâI wish I wouldâve brought my own. I had to clean the oven before I used it (otherwise we wouldâve had a kitchen full of smoke) and had to wash all of the dishes, pans and utensils/silverware before use. The back porch was dirty, as well. The site listing showed a gas grill but we couldnât find it until the second day and it was in the woods behind the house, so we opted not to use it. Fortunately, the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. For the price paid, we expected more. Definitely not luxury.
Great location, near dunes, downtown, and beach. Cabin nice, but outdated, needs some tlc on screens, doors, and refreshed games with all pieces would be appreciated. Recommends more seating in living room, a small couch and 2 chairs not enough for cabin guests. A/C not working correctly- owner did eventually get back to us but not able to correct, was muggy in July.
Pool nice, small dock if you fish nearby.
We came to stay with our two adult children, their spouses, and their two babies for our younger sonâs wedding. We e made a long weekend out of and enjoyed ourselves very much!!
We brought my father in law to Saugatuck for his birthday. The property was very clean. The beds are comfortable. The hot tub was a great amenity. My 17year old caught a bass. We went to the Saugatuck state park which was beautiful and very close. The property is very close to downtown where we shopped and had great meals! Everything was truly perfect!
We stayed here as our third trip to Kingfisher Cove and the first in Elisabethâs cabin. This vacation community is absolutely perfect, and we loved the proximity of this cabin to the pool and the dock. The only thing that wasnât picture perfect was the comfort of the beds.
My family absolutely loved our stay here and our trip to Saugatuck. We had friends stay in a neighboring cabin which made it even better. Loved the community and how close the location is to downtown, oval beach, etc. Would definitely stay here again!
We had a very nice stay in the cabin. Lovely location and located in the neighboring town of where our daughterâs college is located. This was also during the Tulip Time Festival in Holland, so having a place to stay a little removed from the hub of activity was great.
We all had a great time! The property manager (Elisabeth) was great to work with. She gave us very specific directions and instructions on how to get to the property and get in. The place was very beautiful, everything we were hoping for and more.
We rented a couple of cabins in Kingfisher Cove for our bridal party on our wedding weekend. Our stay couldn't have been better! Elisabeth was super helpful and communicative. The beds were comfy and we loved the fire place and hot tub. The loft was a cozy hang out spot with a nice futon. I would recommend staying in these cabins to anyone. Thank you Elisabeth for helping make our wedding weekend so great and memorable!
