We furnish it all; sand chairs towels, umbrellas, toys ,games, paddle boards, Kayaks, coolers, etc. .And for all your power boating needs, Eldean Boatyard ( 100' feet from your home) has available to rent just about any watercraft you can think of .

We have been coming up and renting for over 50 years
To say we love this corner of the world is a vast understatement .Heck I figure it was good enough for L. Frank Baum (Author of Wizard of OZ) to own a home on our beach
Our boys grew up spending summers in these waters on this beach making lasting friends from all over the world .We have meet renters from Denmark, England , Ireland , Germany, Italy ( they come every year still) and all over the United States.
As renters all those years we had expectations on the home and all amenities. This home is the culmination of all those years of what we, and you , would expect.
So enjoy our home and our slice of OZ.
Remember: A cottage and vacation as this happens once in a BLUE MOON

What a great vacation house!

My family (adult children and toddler grandchild) enjoyed a week at this beautiful house. Steve, the owner, has stocked the house with everything we needed for fun at the beach, including a golf cart to get us to the beach (which is really nearby). We enjoyed both the great screen porch as well as the 3rd floor deck. The kitchen and laundry was amazingly well supplied. We loved every minute of our week in Michigan. Highly recommend!

A Magical Week

We had a fantastic time in Macatawa again this year at Blue Moon. The house is immaculate and very well stocked. In fact, I would say this is the most well stocked VRBO we have ever stayed in. Every possible thing you could need for a week at the lake is there. Steve is responsive and helpful. Blue Moon is clearly a labor of love.

Great location and beautiful home

We loved our stay at Blue Moon. The house was wonderful and accurately described in the VRBO listing. It was well stocked and easy to settle into for our extended family of 10 people (6 adults and 4 children). The location is great - so close to the beach and to Holland and Sagutuck. The golf cart and beach accessories were awesome! Steve was a very responsive host. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect place for family get-together

Our family loved this beautiful house in a perfect location. We had access to a lovely private beach on Lake Michigan. We used the golf cart provided by the owner to transport our beach supplies, but the walk to the beach was easy and scenic. The house has a screened-in porch and a separate deck. We enjoyed both! This is the best equipped house we have ever rented - and included everything we needed, even for the beach. The owner is very responsive. And
there is lots to do in nearby Holland.

Absolutely Wonderful

House is a perfect vacation home, beautifully decorated and well stocked. Staying here you will want for nothing Every detail and amenity has been thought out from big lush beach towels, to lovely soaps and shampoo to a well stocked kitchen and even a golf cart to transport to and from the beach if you prefer not to walk 5 minutes down the road.. The home is exquisitely maintained, very clean, and has all the comforts of home and more. We were very impressed by the house and owners. We hope to come back again. The location to private tennis courts and a wonderfully peaceful beach can't be beat. We enjoyed kayaking, relaxing at the beach and sunsets along the beach. Highly recommend for all that enjoy high- quality.

Great abode to enjoy Macatawa Woods

We had a great week at the Blue Moon. We have rented several homes in this neighborhood over the years, and the Blue Moon was by far the most well appointed and luxurious of them all. Layout includes a nice mix of main open kitchen-living room floor plan but several other areas to have more privacy when needed. The included Golf cart and bikes are key for easily accessing the beach area & carting chairs/gear/etc. Owner was also helpful with location information and responsive to questions during the week.

Amazing house, loved our stay!

The house itself is wonderful, clean, nicely furnished, comfortable beds. Great kitchen stocked with everything, screened in porch, bunk room for kids was perfect, and very well stocked with soap, lotion, shampoo, laundry detergent, etc. The beach was lovely. Kayak, paddle board & other beach toys were great. Boat, bike or kayak rentals are a few minutes walk from the house. We had a great time thanks again!

Great family getaway!

We had a lovely week at Blue Moon with our family of 6 and a toddler. It was perfect for our size group. The house was spacious, incredibly clean, with wonderful amenities such as beach gear, golf cart, and had everything we would need for the week! We loved evenings in the screened in porch and dinners around the big family table. The private beach was AMAZING. We felt like we had it entirely to ourselves the entire time we were there. We also brought our boat which was easy to store (rented a slip) right at the neighboring harbor. We had a great week!

Wonderful home in fantastic setting

The House Beautifully updated throughout, with plenty of space and privacy for a larger group. Master bedroom and bath were amazing, and the lower bunkroom was perfect for the kids. We spent every night on the screened-in porch, which was very peaceful. The Amenities We've been renting beach houses in Michigan during the summer and in Florida during the Spring for years, and the Blue Moon is by far the best outfitted one in which we've stayed. Kitchen is decked out with everything you'll need with plenty of glasses and plates, etc. and things like spices, oil, and condiments are kept available, which is nice. There are tons of extra towels and other linens available. The golf cart spoiled us for future beach vacations. Also, for a family, you really don't need to bring much of anything for the beach. There are at least 6 Tommy Bahama beach chairs plus several others. There are plenty of beach toys such as buckets, balls, rafts, boogie boards, and even bocce ball. The Location We loved Macatawa. The community was amazing. We went to the South Hill beach every day, and never had a problem getting a spot. The community is great to walk around, and the neighbors were all friendly. We rented a boat right across the street for an afternoon. It's an easy, non Interstate, drive into Holland or Saugatuck for dinner or lunch. The Central Market about 2+ miles away will have most of what you need. The Owner Steve is great. Very responsive and attentive. He also provided plenty of detail in a welcome letter before our arrival (sometimes you're flying in blind). It's clear that he and his family have put a lot of love and attention into this house. We'll be back!

Blue Moon is Perfection

From the moment you walk in you know the owners want you to feel right at home. The location is great, the home is beautiful and the owners have thought of everything!! The main living area is an open living space that allows for family interaction regardless if you’re cooking or watching TV. Every room is well appointed with everything you need to have an effortless great time. The owner’s thoughtfulness is seen in the abundance of daily supplies provided, candles, hand lotion and even a Blue Moon canvas bag you can take home. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. From a large Wolf stove, Calphalon cookware to a beautiful large wooden table, that easily sits 10, you are ready to enjoy great meals together. The gathering room is spacious and there is plenty of room for a large family to enjoy the evening watching a scary movie or maybe even building a puzzle. The bedrooms are super cozy and the beds are so comfortable!! Even our kids commented on how well they slept. The home is built into a hillside. The bedrooms have large windows and you actually feel like you are sleeping in a treehouse. One of our favorite rooms was the screened-in porch. It’s beautifully decorated with a dining table and seating area. Timed stringed lights turn on in the evening making it the perfect place to start the day with a morning cup of coffee or end the evening with a glass of wine. This was our first visit to the area and it did not disappoint. The home is minutes from a private beach. The ride or walk to the beach takes you along the marina that opens to beautiful Lake Macatawa. Surrounded by gorgeous homes and amazing boats the short trip to the beach leaves an impression. 1-Adventure is right across the street from the house. They rent boats, jet skis and other water toys. We rented a pontoon and enjoyed a fun sunny day on the lake. The owners also did not miss a beat. They provide a gulf cart, beach chairs, toys, beach cart and bikes. On the beach they have a kayak and paddle board. We just grabbed sunscreen on our way out the door as they also provide the beach towels - wow!! Steve the owner was quick to answer questions and checked on us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. We usually don’t rent the same home twice as we like to experience new places but we’ve found a favorite. We are looking forward to a new tradition and renting Blue Moon again next summer. Just turn the key and start making great summer memories!!
