The pool area was great, lots of room to relax. I visited the spa for a massage. They have an ice bath, hot tub, sauna and steamroom all were very relaxing. They had 2 restaurants but the food was the same option everyday hoping this changes. The cafe was nice for a latte and a quick snack. The gym is one of the most well equipped gyms i have ever seem.

Property is newer, good condition and felt clean. Stayed for 7 nights in a bedroom suite. Plenty of space for hanging out and had a desk to work from. Very close to Walmart and Target and made it easier to grab things when you needed. Operationally, I think the property still has kinks to work through as it relates to snack/bar being open as posted hours in pool area. The restaurant and in room delivery is slow for service.

The property is new and nice. Very close to Ala Moana mall. But sadly the front desk staff are rude and not very friendly. They are not accommodating at all. It’s hard to get connected to in room dining and sometimes you have to call for housekeeping. I wouldn’t go back to this property because of the front desk staff.

I enjoyed my stay during 1/25-1/27. The Hotel was clean, updated and very convenient for the location. I had a few issues with the check in process, room service and the fire alarm going off at the early morning hours. I hope my next stay here will be a little better

Property is new, clean, modern, and very comfortable. Spa, gym, and pool areas are fantastic! Close to Ala Moana mall and Ala Moana beach which is nice and not anywhere as crowded as Waikiki. Major issue is service and room cleaning - there seems to be a lack of communication and standard procedures from management, so lots of confusion amongst staff (different people having different answers for things). A few issues: - Trying to book spa treatments ahead of arrival via phone was very difficult. Booking online is fine, but I had a few questions regarding party size and applying expedia discounts that they could not answer over the phone. You cannot book spa treatments by calling the spa, they told me you need to do it through Concierge, but when I called the front desk they did not know where to direct me. Very disorganized and unhelpful. - Quality of front desk staff is hit or miss. Again, I think management needs to do more training and have more standard procedures for everything including breakfast vouchers, resort fee allowances, etc. - There doesn't seem to be a good understanding of all the different promotions/credits/vouchers between the hotel, restaurant staff, spa staff. - Room cleaning service is not thorough in terms of replenishing items. While the cleaning is fine itself, there would be shortage of towels, or random things missing day to day (lotion, paper cups for coffee, etc). There was one day where we didn't receive any service at all.

The location was good The hotel itself was a little disappointing. There was no phone in the room to communicate with front desk or services. To order room service, I had to dial from my phone and food not only didn't come in 30 minutes as promised but 90 minutes later. The burger that I ordered was cold and my orange juice and mayonnaise was not delivered with the food but did come 30 minutes later. I was not able to eat much of the burger since it was cold although the fries were nice and hot.

Great location

It’s a very convenient location right next to a Walmart. I was there to play soccer with a team from Chicago so I was able to grab supplies quickly before games and didn’t have to pay resort prices, would stay there again for sure.

I liked the bed, the view and the large soaking tub. However, we had a snooty front desk person at check in. We had just gotten off an 8 hour flight. The fire alarm went off because they had the water kettle underneath it. We couldnt reach the feont desk, there was no onw there. We tried to order breakfast through thwir app, qhich we found out, was broken. We had broken phones and were unable to reach the kitchen. The shower handle fell off in our hand. They forgot our drinks. It was the second worse stay we have ever had, only behind finding mold and bugs in a room in WA. I dont recommend, especially for the cost. Choose an older hotel with better management.

I stayed at the Renaissance Hotel for 3 nights and 4 days. While the hotel is new and very clean, the space felt quite small, including the lobby, and there was only one dining option available. The Lamill Coffee shop only offered to-go options, which was a bit inconvenient. The surrounding area near the convention center didn’t feel very safe for walking, with a couple of questionable bars nearby. We ended up taking an Uber every day to Waikiki (about a 10-minute drive) to enjoy our time there. The pool was also disappointing—very small and crowded. It seemed to be shared with an adjacent residential building, and there were way too many kids running around and making noise. We went to the 8th floor (where the pool is) once and never went back. The front desk calls it the “Magic Floor,” but it felt far from magical. I don’t think I would stay here again. Despite the quieter location, I learned a valuable lesson: in Hawaii, nothing beats staying at a hotel right by the ocean, even if it’s crowded. Next time, I’ll definitely opt for a beachfront hotel in Waikiki instead.
