Great Hotel in a great location! 5 stars!!! I stayed in a twin room my first night, and the regular room was just fine, thank you. However, because my wife was joining me, I upgraded to a top floor room with a balcony. It was worth the extra expense! The view was great! We both loved our stay! The location is fantastic… It’s on a quiet street in the historic old city. The wall of the palace is across the street… There are nearby gateways into Gulhane Park, which is where the Topkapi Palace and related museums are located. Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque are as close as a 15 minute walk. There is a tram stop on the corner in the direction of Hagia Sophia. In the other direction, another 10 minute walk will get you to the train station that was the terminus of the original Orient Express train. Across the street from the train station is the ferry terminal! Access to the rest of Istanbul could not be easier. If you’re in the mood, you can walk to the spice bazaar. Public transit is easy and efficient, and the hotel is well situated for exploring the area. We stayed 7 days and used only public transportation. We took ferries, trams, metro and busses. No need for taxis. Breakfast at the hotel was quite good and we got to know the staff. In particular, get to know the manager, Okay. He is good at his job, and had great advice for things to see and do, as well as how to leverage public transport. He is well connected and can also arrange tours, if you are so inclined.

This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in. My room was not large, but big enough for me. It was very tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and kind and the concierge was always available to arrange outings, taxis, etc. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of options and different things each day. The hotel is right across the street from the beautiful Gülhane Park, steps from a tram stop, and easy walking distance to all of the Sultanahmet area tourist sites.

This was a very convenient location on the edge of the park and most of the key sights are within walking distance. Very little traffic so quiet. Very attentive staff. The hotel is a bit of a classic charmer which also made it interesting. Nice deck on top with views of the park and Bosphorus Strait. Many restaurants nearby. Let us check in early.

Breakfast had lots of delicious choices And goes till 11am, nice for those who get in late the night before. Hotel is very walkable to main attractions like Topaki Palace, Basilica Cistern Museum, Haja Sophia Mosque, Blue Mosque and Spice Market. There are many restaurants in the area.
