How close is Walton Hotels Galata to downtown Istanbul?
We came in on a late flight from Cappadochia and the staff were just amazing - helped us book our transfer from the airport last minute and more than accommodated our late check-in. The bed and linens were super comfy and just what we needed to get some rest after a late check-in! We would have liked to stay longer but the hotel was sold out. Really nice rooftop restaurant and view of the city as well. Salim, one of the front office staff was amazing helping us book our dinner cruise on the Bosphorous and providing us some great tips on things to do and see in the city!
From the moment we arrived, the reception team made us feel genuinely welcome. Every member of staff we encountered was incredibly kind, attentive, and eager to help with anything we needed. They went above and beyond to make our stay as smooth and comfortable as possible, it truly felt like they cared about every guest personally.
The check-in process was quick and effortless, and the receptionists were always smiling and ready with great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do. Their warmth and professionalism set the tone for our entire stay.
The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, clearly well looked after. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, which offered plenty of fresh and delicious options to start the day. Everything was presented beautifully and kept well-stocked.
We couldnât have asked for a better experience, highly recommended!
All Staff who works here are just Above and Beyound, they made our expirience unforgettable and joyfull in every way. Hotel itself is pretty small and have nice clean rooms with modern furniture. Shower was a little trouble with unpredictable water temperature adjustments. Overall, it was one of the best expirience that I had when visiting Istanbul, will be back again for sure.
I was in Istanbul for work. I recieved a wellcome box from the hotel and Istanbul transportation card & smart phone were included. Also wireless is really fast. Then I watched sunset on Rooftop Restaurant, the view and foods were amazing. It's a very art-friendly hotel, loved the oil paintings in my room. And very close to Galata Tower.
all the staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good english. The rooftop bar/restaurant is good and the views are amazing. But the facilities in the room were not up to standard. The TV never worked and the showerhead didn't work. The hotel is in a funny area. The immediate streets around it are very dark and there can be a lot of garbage, but two streets up the hill is a street full of cafes and restaurants and Galata tower. All in all - you almost get what you pay for. My advice is go have dinner or drinks at the bar, and stay somewhere else.
Great location close to Galata Tower. Bed linen was too short, only one of us was covered. Hotel reception very noisy. They told us that we were upgraded but we ended with the same room we booked but with a view on the dark courtyard. Heat pump very noisy. Moisture in the shower and very poor flow.
My partner and I stayed at this hotel in January. It was a very nice hotel for the price. It is close to the Galata Tower where there was lots of fun shops and places to eat. It is also in close proximity to the trains. The staff were very nice and always willing to help when we had questions. We had breakfast on the rooftop restaurant every morning and often finished our days up there enjoying some of the amazing cocktails made by the bartender, Huso. We talked to Huso on our first night in and he provided us with many recommendations for things to do during our visit. We really have him to thank for making the trip as amazing as it was. We are planning to come back to Istanbul and stay at this hotel again!
Staff was wonderful, very friendly but the property needs some TLC and it is not soundproof at all. We had a room on level 1 near reception and we could hear everything when guests arrived, talking etc. there was also noise coming from the room above but this is because there are no carpets on the floor. Shower head needed repair and the over head shower did not work. There was also issues with cleanliness of the rooms - they were not cleaned to a high standard.
Breakfast was ok but we felt it had very little to offer and a few days we didnât bother to attend. Location was ok.
