We had a wonderful stay! Home is beautiful, as are the sunset and ocean views from the wonderful wrap around Lanai! Victoria was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions! This is our second stay at the Mauna Kea and we will definitely be back!

A Taste of Aloha

What a wonderful opportunity to explore all Hawaii has to offer. Our stay at Kumulani was the perfect way for our family to enjoy the Island of Hawaii. It was immaculately clean, well-stocked and private. Check-in was effortless. A bonus was the notebook with all the local information we needed. The day trips to the falls, and Waimea and Hilo were exactly as described. We loved it.

Great space on Mauna Kea property

Loved our stay here! We looked at the Mauna Kea. Decided to get more space to be comfortable with our 14 mo daughter. Having a full kitchen with laundry and a second bedroom is a game changer. The views from the lanai are breathtaking. Very easy access to both the Mauna Kea and the Westin.

Paradise!

What a fantastic property! The home had everything and anything we would ever want, or ever need, to make our vacation perfect. The home was immaculate, the views extraordinary and the sunsets beyond description. Victoria the property manager could not have made the stay easier. She met us with a welcome package of Hawaiian delicacies and we consumed everything. We love the “Big” Island and we will definitely stay here again and recommend the property to others. A Pre-College Getaway!

My father, daughter & I decided to take a quick trip to Hawaii before my daughter starts college. It was the perfect size and location for our needs. The kitchen is very well equipped. The lanai was a lovely way to start and finish our days. There is a communal pool at the development but the condo, itself, does not have an individual pool. The main bedroom & bath are spacious & light. The 2nd bedroom needs more lighting. I would also suggest wheel locks or coasters for the bed (s) - whether made up as a queen or 2 twins - they move around quite a bit! Overall - FABULOUS! It was exactly what the three of us needed!

Attending a birthday party and family reunion at the Mauna Kea Resort and wanted a little quiet time in between. This home is a very, very short drive from the Hapuna and the Mauna Kea - perfect location, perfectly appointed. This will be our go-to property next time around.

Great condo with amazing resort access

The condo is well equipped and had very high end finishes compared to many of the places we’ve stayed on the island. The ability to get resort access was the main reason our family chose this condo. We like having space and a kitchen to use but spent most of our time at the amazing Hapuna Beach Resort pool. Amazing place to just relax after doing more adventurous activities in other parts of the island.

Wonderful time at Kumulani

We recently spent a week at Kumulani I-1. The complex is beautifully landscaped and the condo itself is comfortable and decorated in Hawaiian style. Everything is top of the line - the linens and towels were luxurious, gorgeous bathrooms, tons of beach supplies, a kitchen with brand new appliances, lots of high quality pots and pans to cook a veritable feast if you chose, as well as plenty of dishwater and cutlery.Victoria and her team were very helpful and responsive, and promptly took care of a couple of minor issues (gate code and WiFi code were not updated in the materials they sent prior to check in). We especially enjoyed our welcome basket and the incredibly detailed informational binder that Victoria had made available. Two suggestions: more hooks/towel rods in the bathrooms, and perhaps a magnifying mirror for the master bath. There is a huge mirror above the double sinks, but I’m a shorty and nearsighted, and a magnifying mirror would’ve helped. We recommend Kumulani I-1 five stars, and hope to return again. Mahalo to Victoria and her team for providing such a wonderful place for our anniversary and birthday celebrations.

Amazing place for families

The condo was better than shown in the listing. Spacious, clean, beautiful views. So easy to go back and forth from the Mauna Kea if you buy the access passes. It felt very comfortable and luxurious staying here and was great to have extra space for our daughter that you don’t get in a hotel. We will definitely be back!

Fantastic location

My family has been to the Big Island many times but this was our first time in Kumulani, we loved the location and having daily access to the best beaches on the Island - Mauna Kea and Hapuna. The condo is very spacious and has everything we need. Visiting Hawaii at this time is complicated due to COVID but Elite Vacation Rentals kept us informed of everything we needed to do, wonderful communication.

We loved everything about this place. The setting is peaceful and beautifully landscaped, and the buildings are positioned to give everyone maximum privacy. The kitchen has all the essentials, and the furniture and room amenities were exactly right. The master bed is very comfortable. We tried to minimize our use of AC, and the many ceiling fans and sliding doors enabled that. We used the grill,Jacuzzi, washer and dryer, garage, patio furniture, and boogie boards. The house had more than enough nooks for the four of us to spread out and find our own spots. The views were excellent. Security is tight, but not oppressive. While we saw people walking down to the Westin, we always drove. We used the Westin or Mauna Kea every day and love the flexibility of having our own living space/kitchen while being allowed to use the beach facilities, gym, etc. We didn't spend time at the local pool because it wasn't heated, but it seemed nice. We're already talking about hopefully going back again soon!
