Just OK by a Thin Margin
Hotel looks tired from the outside, but the interior is much better. No parking, but there is coin parking for ¥900 per day adjacent to the property. Bathroom has the tub/sink combination that is all too common in old Japanese hotels, and simply outdated by today’s standards. Location is great - short walk to downtown. Biggest complaint were the bedsheets - rough enough to be unpleasant.

Good location, nice breakfast!!
It was a good stay, with a nice location near the tram stop! I love the japanese breakfast that serves famous dishes from Kumamoto

Overall was good, just one thing I don't understand the reason why my friend husdband didn't give access to the onsen? At first we thought only lady onsen is available, but later we find out actually there's a gent onsen too.

Too bad, room too noisy, staff too bad
Too bad an experience in Kumamoto. No staff in this hotel can communicate in english. Room too noisy, i coukd hear clearly toilet flyshing, open luggages, bathing in toilet, chatting in rooms, too noisy for a stay. No privacy for chatting or discussion. Toilet flush too bad, hard to use. No carpark space available, Ask for additional charges for parking. All staff could not speak or hear english, unable to communicate. Too bad an experience for english and chinese tourists. Location too bad, my car turning round snd round to find this hotel, no english name put up for tourists.
