Welcome to our home! We live here full-time, but are always interested in opportunities to share our home with others (while we travel ourselves, especially in the summer).

As you pull up, you'll find a small front yard soccer area, where kids can be contained (inside fence). As you head down the driveway, outside the entrance the kids can play on our climbing wall! At this point, you know that we've created something special for families.

As you enter through the front door, you'll see the 1000+ square foot open area where we spend most of our time.

The home is approximately 3000 square feet with 5 bedrooms.

We love our home, but what everyone else loves is the backyard! People often refer to our home as a resort. Enjoy almost an acre of outdoor space with tons of activities, toys and serenity.

You'll feel like you're out in the middle of nowhere while still being able to access San Diego's best beaches in less than 10 minutes from your door..

In the backyard, we also have a little playhouse (seen in photos with whiteboard, etc.), a zipline, and a trampoline (among other fun toys). Your kids will play and explore out there for hours.

The front yard has artificial grass as well as 5 different fruit/vegetable trees.

Room are set up with:

(there is a Jack n Jill bathroom connecting these two)

3. Cal KING (with new ensuite bathroom and double shower)

On the top of Mt. Soledad, our home is on a peaceful cul de sac. No traffic.

Its quiet, and only 5-7 minute to the heart of Pacific Beach (PB) as well as La Jolla Village - the best of both worlds. You're literally perched atop the mountain.

We have 5 children and a plethora of toys that your kids will have access to (just treat them nice please).

We live here full-time. We ask that you treat our home like you would your own - this is not a professional VRBO home.

GREAT for kids!

If you are looking for a house you don't have to leave, this is the place. The yard is fabulous, the pool is fabulous, the house layout is fabulous! The wall of windows off of the living room opens accordion style, and we had that open all day long while the kids played outside. That being said, the house was.... not clean. Every single plate, bowl, cup, piece of silverware, spatula that came out of the cupboard or drawer had nasty food stuck to it. The pots and pans were covered in a flaky, sticky mess. The drawer handles were coated in stick. It was gross. I have pictures. The first day was spent scrubbing and massively cleaning the kitchen. The other issue was that in every drawer, cabinet, or closet there were massive piles of unfolded clothes, unfolded towels, empty bottles, empty but used plastic bags, receipts.... We had not one single drawer in the entire house to put any of our belongings. There were 7 of us, all living out of our suitcases. Which wasn't a big deal, but it made the house really cramped. There were dressers in every room, but they were packed completely full. It actually seemed like the family had to leave in a hurry. I pulled a blanket out of the closet and there was a blanket avalanche. While my husband was fixing some items in the house (the pool skimmer was a complete mess and the backdoor had a "lost" key which my husband found), I thought about taking everything out of the closets and re-folding it all, but it was such a huge undertaking, I decided against it. The homeowner reached out multiple times during our trip and was extremely friendly and willing to help. He was way better than many rental companies to talk to. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking for a super chill, self contained vacation.

Great home for families with children.

We spent 4 nights with friends at this home. You really can’t find a home with a better backyard and more entertainment for kids. We really enjoyed our stay here and would come back in the future.

Wonderful location and a very comfortable home.

We recently spent 8 nights at this lovely home in La Jolla. It was perfect for our family - our daughter, her seven kids, my wife and me. The kitchen and dining area was great for accommodating our large group with lots of counter space and seating. The grand children loved the back yard, the play ground, the trampoline and the really nice pool (with the slide). Travel to all the tourist locations was exceedingly easy as we enjoyed trips to the zoo, Sea World, the beaches and the San Diego Zoo Safari in Escondido. Shopping was close by and access to the freeways was simple. A real plus was the very quiet and friendly neighborhood - far from the bustling crowds. We loved it. We should emphasize that all the essentials were provided allowing us to have almost all our meals "at home".

Great house for families.

This house is a great house for families and particularly kids. The kids room is great and entertained my grand kids the whole trip. I love that the bedrooms are on one side of the house and the living area on the other....allows for people to stay up and not disturb those who are sleeping. the living area is open and easy for conversation in the kitchen, family room and dining area. The pool and hot tub were amazing. The owners made the check in and out process easy.

Amazing house for a family vacation. Great location

Perfect house for families with kids

Our group had kids ranging from ages 3 to 10 so we were looking for a home that was close to the beaches and other activities, but also had plenty of space for them to play when we were "home." The playroom was perfect -- because some of us flew into town, packing toys for the kids wasn't easy so having so much available for them to play at the house was an added perk. With 5 bedrooms and 2/3 blow-up beds, there was more than enough room for our group. There was also the most amazing shower in the master bathroom -- it's huge (like, we showered 3 kids at the same time!). The backyard is all fenced in and very big so we were able to hang out there while the kids played -- there are some ropes, a playhouse and a trampoline. There are also a couple of enclosed areas with turf so the kids could play outside safely. The location was good -- a short drive to beaches, restaurants, etc. We took a short walk through the neighborhood -- lots of nice houses, and you can get a view of the bay here and there too. The house is on a quiet street with very little traffic so that was also nice. We've rented through VRBO many times, but this is the first time we've rented a home that is family's full-time residence. It certainly made it homey and comfortable but did add a little extra element of "sensitivity" and attention to detail to ensure we put toys/dishes/blankets, etc. where the family could find it upon their return! Normally, not a problem but with 3 different adults helping put away dishes, toys, etc. we're bound to have inadvertently created a game of hide-and-seek with the colander and/or spatula! Adam, the owner, was very responsive and helpful during our stay, and gave us tons of good suggestions about the area -- all in all, a great trip and a great house!

Great location above La Jolla

Great house in a nice neighborhood. Everything was close and we enjoyed how close it was to La Jolla beaches and Sea World. Really nice kitchen and a fun place for our three young girls to play in. Thanks, we would definitely come back
