The hotel is located in a cute bay front area, quiet place for summer relaxation vacation. The restaurants were located inside the resort with beautiful view of the bay and pretty good food options. Pool was great with a bar on side and very clean and quiet as well as the jacuzzi. The Room was big and had a nice balcony, with kitchen appliances Overall cool place to stay.

Lovely stay with family. Our 5 year old loved the beach and pool. It’s a bit dated so come embracing the 1950’s California beach vibe. One major thing we were disappointed with was paying $520+ for a 1 bedroom suite with a bay view and the bedroom did NOT have AC!!! It was super hot and uncomfortable. The Bay view was also more of a public parking lot view as well.

The private beach was delightful. Very much enjoyed the on-site restaurants. Walking distance to Belmont park for fun and food. I wish we didn't have to leave.

Beware! So I ordered a garden room because the gardens on prem are wonderful. They put me in room 149 that can described as a parking lot view with grass strip. I asked if this was considered a garden view and they said yes. I got scammed for sure. I paid extra for grass. Pretty lame.

Beautiful grounds and location. Very peaceful and family oriented. Very clean. The AC in the room didn't work well which was only an isdue at night when the sliding doo had to be closed. The room we got was very small but the room we booked was advertised as "sleeps 4". We had one rollaway and had to rearrange the room and remove the big chair for it to fit. If we had another person there's no way we would have fit. The room was nice though and clean. We will definitely stay again. The seal enclosure needs an overhaul. It's the only part of the whole place that looks as old as it is. I'm sure the animals are well cared for but the enclosure is sad. Otherwise it was a great staycation!

Was hoping to be wowed, but a bit let down.

Lots of high hopes and expectations with this family vacation stay. This was definitely a “splurge” for us as we would normally stay in the mission valley / hotel circle area for about 1/2 the price as this resort. Check in was fine. Got to our room (Resort Suite 2 Queen bed) which was supposed to be 1st floor, it wasn’t. But no big deal. The security latch for the door pulled out of the door trim (not anchored properly, see picture) so we told the front desk and they switched us to a different room. Cool, no worries. As other reviews mention, the rooms are dated. It’s an older resort. But that’s fine, we’re on vacation and it’s more about the amenities than the style of the room in my opinion. Beds are comfortable. Bedroom lacked air conditioning / circulation and was a little stuffy. Bathroom is simple, functional and basic. I don’t need a fancy bathroom, however the wife would have liked that. The best part is the private beach, cabanas and ambience of the property. Having the bay and cove private for the resort is the best selling point. Pool was heated and of good size. The deep end is 10ft deep. Nice large hot tub to accommodate plenty of people. The quick grab Airstream was nice to grab something for breakfast in the morning. Enjoyed the rescued seals area as well. The dockside 1953 restaurant was okay. Pricey and took over 35 mins to get breakfast the second day of our stay. (Plan accordingly.) Also there’s a surcharge added to your bill for the food / kitchen.
