The hotel itself was fine no complaints at all. But when we arrived there was a problem with our reservation. Going from a smoking room to a non smoking. We don’t smoke and the smoking room was awful. The man behind the desk was just following orders I’m sure but the only way we could get a mom smoking room was to pay more money. It was 10.00 pm and I fought there were going to be more people checking in. Seriously!!! Just a way for the hotel to get more money out of us. Really bad business move. Don’t respect that at all. Feels like a scam!!!

This place sucks don’t go here. The guys up front are on there phones the whole time not paying attention then when I get there he tells me I need to put an extra 150$ down on this nasty place which I was not informed of when I booked then he asked if I just had 100$ cash that I could give him to get the room so I went down the street to a new, nicer, and CHEAPER place that didn’t try to steal my money. Oh and there was also a diarrhea all on the chairs in the waiting room. This place is not where you want to stay when you visit San Diego.

Your review appears to be an attack on our property because of the deposit you were asked to put down at check in. The deposit we collect at check in is clearly posted on Travelocity and at the front desk when you check in. We collect this to cut down on theft and damage in the room. The chairs in the lobby are extremely clean and our staff do take calls from other guests and tend to you as soon as they are off the calls.

The rooms have a very nice appearance and are clean. The walls and ceiling (I was on bottom floor) were paper thin. We had neighbors above us that have kids. We heard every stomp, every jump, everytime they drug something on the floor, etc etc. They have fake wood floors, so it just amplifies the sounds. I called the front desk twice and complained and pounded my hand on the ceiling several times. Nothing changed. Finally my wife and I had some words with this family. It is unfortunate when you need to take matters into your own hands.

We're so sorry about the noise level from the guests on the floor above you. We generally don't have noise issues and not sure why the family above you was being so noisy. We hope things quieted down for you and you were able to get some rest.
