Hotel is an ex. Premier Inn Hotel taken over by Stables in October 2019. Very little has been done to the rooms since then (with the except of a new TV). As you may imagine, things are a little dated and a refresh is needed. Having said this the hotel offers great value, it is clean and we had a great nights sleep. For the price paid, it did the job well!
Perfectly for the price. Good location, free car parking and comfortable clean rooms. Above all though, service was excellent. One employee, sorry...didn't catch her name, but she was a blonde lady who did both frontdesk and cleaning of rooms, really went the extra mile for me, sorting an iron at short notice, when all of them had been lent out. She's a real asset.
The room was a bit dirty to be fair, stains on carpet, settee etc. The hotel over all could do with a revamped.. i paid £65 and if i had paid anymore i would of been fuming.
A worse hotel ever. Dirty, poor customer service. Even care homes are better.
Old decoration. I had to checkout after 1 hour of check-in.
Not recommend
Not the hotels fault but we had a group of noisy kids near up. Making loads of noise in the corridor on the way to their room at 10pm. Then all came out of their room/s again at 10:15, same noise. I banged on the door and asked them to qieten down. They did. Then 15 minutes later back to the room/s and same again. Woken up twice as we had an early start next morning.
The night before someone was smoking overnight and the smell was very strong for the rest of our stay.
The hotel itself was decent value though quite far from the city. The bathrooms do need some investment and the mattress could probably do with an upgrade. Maintenance pretty poor too.
Cheap and cheerless I'd say.
