As a guest of The Liver View, you'll find barbecue grills, a garden, and a picnic area. A computer station is on site, and both WiFi and wired Internet are free in public spaces. Free self parking is available.
This 3-star Wallasey bed & breakfast is smoke free.
The Liver View hotel is a converted early 19th century building in Wirral. It is a five minute walk from the Seacombe Ferry terminal. The ferry takes you to the other side of the Mersey river (i.e to Liverpool proper) in about 10 minutes.
Commuter ferries (as they are called) run weekday mornings (to Liverpool) and evenings (from Liverpool). On weekends, only "tourists" ferries operate so my advice would be to take a Wirral line train to Central Liverpool at Hamilton Square station (a 5-7 minute ride). they run very frequenly including on weekends.
Buses 124, 125, 409 and 409 operate from Seacombe Ferry terminal to Hamilton Square station (a 10 minute ride).
the place is very quiet (don't expect a bustling nightlife in the area !) but the view over Liverpool (Cunnard Building, Liver Building (hence the name!), Albert Docks and other major landmarks) is stunning.
The rooms are big and airy and the bed was very comfortable.
The breakfast is simple but top-rate and served in the conservatory.
Dave, the manager, is awfully nice and his dog (didn't grasp his name though!) cute and affectionate.
Super friendly, after reading the other reviews I must admit we ticked off every one of the comments, could not recommend it any higher. Hope to be back soon.
The Liver View Hotel is an excellent place to stay, just a short ferry ride across the Mersey from Liverpool. The view of Liverpool from my room was stunning. Dave is a friendly and hard working host. The room was excellent, the bed super comfortable, the bathroom clean and efficient. I loved the morning breakfast, which is substantial and tasty. (I would suggest adding yogurt and fresh fruit to the options :>) I had a great stay and recommend this hotel to everyone.
The hotel staff are so friendly making us feel welcome. It is convienent for getting around, has parking and the breakfast is amazing. Would definately stay here again on next trip to Liverpool, may not be luxurious but the welcome makes it my choice.
Stayed here for 2 nights whilst attending a concert in Liverpool. The hotel was warm, clean and the rooms cosy. The owner was friendly and helpful and provided us with advice on the transport links into Liverpool. The hotel is within minutes of the ferry terminal so it was no problem getting into Liverpool. The breakfast was freshly cooked and the lady serving breakfast was also very friendlyâŠWhen visiting Liverpool again I would not hesitate to stay here .
Fourth visit here in 6 months. Dave is very accommodating, friendly and excellent breakfast cook. Bedrooms very comfortable with lovely comfortable beds and gorgeous linen. Will always use when in the area
Dave was an amazing host. Breakfast was great and beds were comfortable Only real negative was the wifi. Even with a booster in upper hallway we lost reception upon entering our room. Easy access across the Mersey River by ferry to Liverpool. Dave proved us with cards to load for the bus/ferry system Convenient location and free car parking off the street. Would definitely stay again
Loved our stay with David and his family, from the moment we checked in we were looked after. David was very welcoming. We had an amazing view over the river to the city from our room which was very comfy and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved the breakfast, the full english was really nice. We will definitely be coming back when we visit the area again.
