Breakfast wise - there wasn’t enough food choice. Hotel guests had to stand in a queue to get a table (Saturday). Poor service (15 mms to get a cup of coffee). Ps. There was no bread left at some point and nobody bothered to top up the missing items. Noise - extremely noisy, you can hear everything happening in the corridors. Facing the inner yard - the ventilation system kept on buzzing day and night making it impossible to sleep. Closed windows did not help. Room - rather small for a deluxe, dirty and old. Creased bed linen, dust everywhere, empty mini bar, no drinking water, soft materace. Overall, highly disappointing for a five star. Certainly not worth the money spent. :-(

Staff were friendly. Room was an upgrade so spacious, however the bathroom still looked tired but clean. My only problem was that I couldn’t get and decaffeinated tea. I made three phone calls and asked two additional members of staff but they couldn’t get any for me.

Very convenient however, healthy breakfast choices were rather limited when compared to similarly rated properties in the area. The room was also somewhat different from that available in the pictures at booking. So, it was rather disappointing and needs to be spruced up. The Mayfair Kitchen is an excellent place to dine!

Been three years since my last stay here. Room was cold the first night. Asked them to turn on the heat in our room and it was unbearably hot the next night. I suspect that the previous occupants asked to have the heat turned off and we arrived and the hotel forgot to turn it can on. Room 219. Loved the previous Spanish tapas Kitchen restaurant but it’s changed to n Italian/Asian menu that’s just not as good. I think this hotel has lost its mojo.

Everything was excellent fo our stay. Room 701 was large, clean and well equipped. Very quiet too which is unusual in central London. All staff friendly and helpful, Sadie on reception was especially kind. All in all, highly recommended. A real 5* experience.

Excellent breakfast. Doorman was intermittent tending the front door. Turndown service was missed every night of our stay despite repeated request for it. Friendly staff. The hairdryer is oddly attached inside a drawer in the closet. Awkward. The magnifying mirror is located very low on the wall and doesn’t raise. Difficult to use.
