Room was as expected, beds were what you would expect of hotel beds, we were on the harbor side of the ship so could not hear the carnival going on, on the other side. Food was good, was a bit pricey. Tours closed early so we did not get to experience those.

We stayed on Saturday, just me and my husband. The room was clean and very roomy. We stayed in the delux king with harber view. The entire boat is clean and well kep. We enjoyed our ghost hunting experience. We loved Sunday brunch on the ship. The food was great. We plan to return with the kids in December.

Got there had to wait for hours for a room only to get to the room and it’s like 40 degrees freezing very dim lighting and was told they can’t control the temperature so we would basically have to freeze and possibly get sick we were in the room for all of 5 min and ended up checking out and not staying lost all the money we paid for and apparently nothing can be done about it disgusting

Historical Preservation Fee charged twice.

We like the Queen Mary mostly because of its historic value. It’s old but charming. My only complaint on this stay is that upon arrival we were offered an upgrade to a room with two port windows for $40 which we accepted. Upon checkout the invoice was for $68. Apparently they saw fit to charge an additional historical preservation fee which we already paid for in our original reservation. I wrote back to them asking why but have not yet heard back from them.

A special place

So much to say here. I’ll merely encourage everyone to go. And to stay up late and explore. It’s a special place. Don’t go for the food - or expecting modern luxury. Expect a different time. And the pics I have are glorious … but can’t be added here.

You can’t touch this….

We had a smashing good time and met a marvelous couple from Scotland who used to be in the Royal Navy. We really recommend adding this to any trip to the Los Angeles area and we look forward to doing it again particularly when they have a murder mystery theater.
