It was okay. Nothing to run out and book again. If I was to book another all inclusive I would do more research. No blanket on the bed, no extra pillows in the room. Had to ask them to restock the mini bar when we were told it would be done every other day. Toilet seat came off. Food was not great. My hamburger was like a hockey puck and when we got our appetizer it was cold at the steakhouse. Really not my go to for my next vacation. The people we met were all very nice. No elevator had to carry suitcases up 2 flights of stairs.

Horrible experience! Will never go back here again! Facilities are falling apart, sunchairs are torn, people and staff are rude, customer service is horrible! Staff expects tips for everything and if you want to get into the steak restaurant make sure u have at least 500MXN to get a table even if there are clear visible tables available or else you will be waiting for hours!

I had a few bad experiences in my stay 1. The day we got there there was a drunk man doing his necessities with his shorts down behind the dirty/wet towel bin where every one could see him being exposed when returning wet towels, this happened in front of my 4 year old and the employees did nothing very inappropriate for kids and everyone around. This was not okay at all specially employees seeing this type of behavior and doing nothing about it. 2. My room was not cleaned twice even when I had the cleaning sign on door. 3. I slipped and fell because the floor was really wet by one of the bars and hurt my leg till this day I’m still in pain. There was no wet sign and I got no one’s help to pick me up and no doctor on site to look at my foot. 4. There was a lots of small ants all over my bed. I had insect bites rash all over my body. 5. Drunk people were fighting on one of the back pools facing the ocean side saying offensive words and confronting each other trying to fight each other in front of all the guest and kids and once again the employees did nothing. I just experienced several of disappointments during my stay. I was Planing on going back for new years with a very large group of people not sure if I would recommend this place to be honest or stay here in the future. I was pretty disappointed.

Clean resort, nice and helpful staff. Pool had lots of bugs however. And we didn't care for the very loud RIU Party pool going late into the night (4th floor Tower, right next to that pool. It did have awesome ocean views)

No bellboy offered on arrival or departure. Room was across from the rear entrance to the other Riu. Constant running of the AC units created a constant din. The toilet water ran every day despite informing staff. The safe would not work when we got there. We had to wait 4 hours to get it fixed The internet was weak and erratic and off more times than on. The pop from the machines at the bars was watered down too much. Bugs and eggs in the pepper shakers. The food was always cold at the buffet and the bins were often empty even at the 1st serving. The steaks at the a la carte restaurant were substandard, inedible and cold for both of us. We left the restaurant very disappointed. We have been going to the Riu chain 30 times since 2000 but are now looking to go to another chain (Barcelo). We both feel like we wasted 2 weeks of our life and over $5000. This hotel has ruined our faith in the Riu name and we will not go to another one ever! Robert and Kate Bliss

After a long day of traveling and checking in, the hotel staff informed me that if I wanted my luggage to be taken to my room, I would’ve had to wait for over an hour to receive them. I did not want to wait that long and decided to take it with me, not knowing that the room Was on the fourth floor and the hotel did not have an elevator. I had to carry my luggage up four floors and that was not a good experience. The food on all the restaurants was horrible, the buffet had the same food everyday and all days it was not good food. Safe to say that I won’t be recommending and going back to this hotel.

Our room was very spacious, modern, and well maintained. Importantly, the beds were comfortable We always observed the grounds crew cleaning up fallen palm leaves, mowing the grass, and scrubbing the walkways into the villas. The staff and servers at the restaurants and the buffets could not have been more accommodating. There was so much variety of foods that you would have to be a very picky eater not to find something to eat. The hotel is expansive with many different pool areas, so it never felt crowded. Someone was always coming around the pool area with a drink cart. We enjoyed the nightly entertainment. They have a good-sized water park that kids and young adults would surely enjoy.
