Thank you for considering Beach Block on Mendel from Sugar Sand Stays, our newest Marco Island home as your next family vacation! We are excited for you to experience all that Marco has to offer. This island has the most gorgeous beaches, beautiful water, and delicious restaurants!
Our home features 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and an open floor plan that totals over 2400 sq ft. We have a king primary suite with a huge walk-in closet and your own en-suite bathroom with two separate vanities. Enjoy a king size bed in both the second and third bedrooms with ample closet space. The fourth bedroom is perfect for our younger guests featuring 1 set of bunk beds. The second bathroom has a shower/tub combo for those that need a tub for our younger guests.
We have two main living spaces that feature plenty of seating around a large screen TV and sitting areas for lots of fun family games and puzzles! The bright kitchen is in the middle of the home for easy convenience! The kitchen has a convenient pass though to enjoy the best of indoor/outdoor dining. The dining room area which can seat up to 8 people is right off the lanai for easy access to the kitchen and pool area.
Wake up every morning stress free. We provide all supplies needed for a fun family day at the beach. We are about an 8 minute walk from both Public South Beach entrances. When you are finished at the beach, walk home and relax by our large private heated pool. Soak up the sun on our 4 pool loungers or pool floats. If sun is not your thing we also have a shaded area where you can watch your favorite sporting event or show on our large screen TV. Sit under the outdoor fan and enjoy a nice dinner at our brand new patio table which has seating for 8! You can even book a fishing charter and grill up your own local catch!
The options are endless in Marco Island, use the bikes to explore the island and visit the many shops and restaurants that Marco has to offer. The home's location is perfect for enjoying the best of Marco Island -- walk to both Winterberry Drive Beach Access point and Marco Walk, which boasts excellent restaurants, shopping and the only movie theater on the Island. And just across the street from Marco Walk is miniature golf at Marco Golf and Garden. The house is also less than a mile from the world-class JW Marriott, where you can enjoy its world-famous spa as well as its 10 bars and restaurants. Marco Island is our home away from home so we welcome any questions to help you plan the perfect family holiday. Need recommendations on renting more bikes, scheduling a fishing charter, or renting a boat with a captain to take you out for the day…let us know! We can make any recommendations you need. We are here to help you have the most memorable vacation for you and your family or friends!
Parking: You can park one car/suv in the garage and two in the driveway. Per Marco Island code you can’t park a trailer or boat in the driveway. You can park a small RV in the driveway as long as it is not covering the sidewalk. You would have to obtain a free permit from the Marco Island police department and affix it to your RV in a conspicuous place. If you do not have the permit the property will be fined on a daily basis and the fines will be taken from your security deposit.
Cameras: We have one camera on property. It is the ring door bell at the front door. The rear camera on the pool patio is OFF during your stay for privacy reasons. We have it as security when the house is empty.
NOTE: As per the Transient Rental Noise Control 30-90.9 Any noise shall not be plainly audible for a period of one (1) minute or longer at a distance of twenty-five (25) feet or more when measured from the source property line between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. daily and at a distance of fifty (50) feet or more when measured from the source property line between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m., daily.”
Security Deposit: A $1000 Security Deposit HOLD will be accessed to your credit card on file two days prior to your stay. This is NOT A CHARGE, it is a hold for violations of the ordinance or damage done to the property during your stay. The hold will be released 5 days after your departure if no violations/damage is found.
Cancellation: If you cancel within the Fully refundable period you will get a full refund minus the processing fees.
NOTE: Pools are heated to at least 85 degrees but the heater only works when the pool motor is on. It does not run 24 hours a day. It will loose some temperature overnight and once the pool heater turns back on in the morning it will heat the pool again up to the set temperature. Most heat pumps automatically shut off when the temperature drops below 50 degrees Fahrenheit to prevent damage.
NOTE: Please be aware that if you DO NOT purchase the travel insurance offered and you get sick/have flight issues/weather issues/etc and cannot make your trip we have a no refund policy.
NOTE: We do not inspect the bikes between each renter. Use of the bikes is at your own risk and is the renters responsibility to deem fit for your personal use.
