The location and quietness where important to us. The furniture was comfortable and didn't crowd the room. Staff was pleasant, helpful and professional. We stayed in assorted lodgings during our vacation in the U.P. White Pines Lodging was our favorite.

Hotel is just outside of town which I prefer. It was quiet and easy to get to. The location is hotel and convenience store in one. My daughter loved walking down the hall to buy snacks to watch TV in the evening.

We were pleasantly surprised on how clean and kept up the lodge was. The Staff was very helpful and attentive. The room was larger than most standard rooms. The shower was hot and hot tub was well maintained. We would stay there again!

The room and building were clean enough. Some staff were friendlier than others, depending on shifts. One thing, we had a refrigerator with an iced over freezer (fortunately we had a flat icepack which fit in the available opening, but snugly), which they wouldn't do anything about when we brought it to their attention. Also, not the best breakfast bar -- no hot foods, no yogurt. No housekeeping service for guests staying more than 1 night. The weird thing is that when they cleaned the rooms, they left doors open with bedding all over the furniture.

We enjoyed our visit overall. The hotel was dated but still in good shape. Inside was clean and the convenience store attached was a plus. The outside could be better maintained as far as mowing and keeping the weeds trimmed around the building and picnic table
