Dock Holiday - Waterfront / Nature / Hot Tub: Enjoy a cozy getaway!

Are you looking for a peaceful getaway? Come relax at this unique vacation spot on an island community nestled in the swamps & beautiful nature of south Louisiana. Dock Holiday is located on 3 Rivers Island, with direct waterfront on the Diversion Canal. Bring your boat/jet skis and park at our large dock. This is a golf cart ONLY community and we offer a 4-seat golf cart with the rental. Get ready to explore nature as you head over the bridge onto the island for some rest & relaxation!

Dock Holiday (previously rented as Bayou Breeze Bungalow) is a 600 square foot cabin, fully furnished with a living room, full kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 loft spaces, and 1 bathroom. The master bedroom sleeps 2 in a queen size bed, the guest bedroom has bunk beds with a full bed on the bottom and a twin bed on the top, the river loft space has a full size bed, and the kitchen loft has a queen size bed. The cabin has a full size refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee bar, and a gas grill (on the lower deck) with propane tank included.

Linens, towels, pots, pans, dishes, silverware, paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, and garbage bags are provided. There is no washer/dryer, but there is a laundromat nearby in town. There are no closets, however there are 2 nightstands with drawers and a storage bench in the master bedroom, a small dresser in the guest bedroom, and hooks in each room to hang garments.

Sip your morning coffee from the upstairs balcony, relax on the lower deck in the comfy seating area, soak in the hot tub with your drink as you watch the boats pass, make some s'mores by the fire pit in the Adirondack chairs (4), or watch the most beautiful sunsets from the dock. We have a TV, fans, blue tooth speakers, and yard games on the lower deck for your comfort and enjoyment. Our property features private waterfront, a large dock, and 3 boat slips with a separate jet ski slip.

You can enjoy nature, boating, fishing, grilling, and having access to local south Louisiana food. Take a walk down the island to see beautiful swamps with large cypress trees. You will see many different animal species on the island including bunnies, turtles, egrets, blue herons, spoonbills, nutria, owls, and the occasional deer and alligator. There is a community pool and gazebo available to guests. (Pool is closed from November to April). Canal Bank Club offers a boat launch approximately 3 miles from the cabin on the Diversion Canal. If you would like to rent a boat, they have some available at Canal Bank or visit the Geaux Outdoors website for additional options. The Blind River Bar, located 3 miles downriver from the cabin, is a family-friendly establishment that offers food, drinks, live bands, and splash pad for the kids. (Open seasonally from April-November). It is water access only but there is a water taxi available on the river to book online at BeyondtheBayouTours.com or on their Facebook page at BTB Swamp Taxi.

This cabin has been a wonderful rental with excellent reviews that many families have enjoyed over the last several years. Bayou Breeze Bungalow is now Dock Holiday, and our family plans to maintain the same level of hospitality offered by the previous owners to earn the same satisfied reviews from our guests. Some of the decor and furnishings in the cabin are currently being updated and may differ slightly from current photos. New photos will be coming soon!

DISCLAIMER: If for some reason there is an equipment failure, we will make every effort to fix it promptly. However, we will not be obligated to give any refunds for malfunctions with the equipment (hot tub, TV, internet services, etc.).

We don't restrict access to the lofts but we are not responsible for any injuries that may occur by entering the loft areas. Children must be supervised on walkway and dock at all times. We are not responsible for anyone falling or drowning in water.

Renters must follow all golf cart rules. No one under 16 is allowed to drive the golf cart. After you book your reservation, you will receive instructions via email on directions, where to park, how to access our golf cart, and the location of the cabin.

Bookings with more than 4 guests will include a $50/stay fee for each additional guest and will be upgraded to a 6-seater golf cart for the duration of your stay. (This upgrade is included in the additional guest fee).
