Calle 8 Penthouse. Attraction: Private roof. No guest issues. 2 blocks from Lleras. AC, small hot tub. 6 people can sleep here.

The bad to be fair is stairs(4th floor) No Front desk doorman. BUT the good way out weighs anything else.

2 blocks from Park Lleras, kitchen, living room, and bedrooms all AC'. Roof deck with Bar, 4 bathrooms. Each bedroom has bathroom in suite. Roof has a social bathroom. This apartment can be combined with apartment below it vrbo # 498181. For 6 bedrooms. There are very few of these options in Medellin. Never mind something this nice and location, being so close to park but not in earshot. The view from the roof is stunning. The bar has a sink, a stereo, a fridge, and a flat screen. Entertaining here would be awesome. You can get a bit louder here than most places. We own the building. There is a pay parking lot around the corner. The street is very safe. Your penthouse is on floor 4 in our building. The bedrooms are all big beds. One king and two queens. The kitchen was built for the owner to use when he was in town. There are not too many kitchens like this in town. There is a small 4-person hot tub on the main floor. You can have some guests. Roof is private it's just yours. There is wall safe in each bedroom. There is no fee for guests. Can have your bachelor party here. You do not need to Preregister your guests here. No charge for guests. Take a photo of there ID.

-Absolut nicht empfehlenswert – teure EnttĂ€uschung und katastrophale ErfahrungWir haben fĂŒr diese Wohnung in MedellĂ­n (Calle 8 Nr. 42-32) 1.500 fĂŒr 11 Tage (vom 2. bis 13. Januar) bezahlt. FĂŒr diesen Preis erwartet man wenigstens Sauberkeit, Ruhe, eine korrekte Ausstattung und SeriositĂ€t. Was wir bekommen haben, war genau das Gegenteil.Bei unserer Ankunft um 23 Uhr wurde uns zuerst eine Wohnung gegeben, die ĂŒberhaupt nicht der entsprach, die wir gebucht hatten, und die in schlechtem Zustand war. Erst nachdem ich am nĂ€chsten Morgen Fotos geschickt habe (Vergleich zwischen der gebuchten und der erhaltenen Wohnung), mussten wir innerhalb von weniger als einer Stunde umziehen. Die Ausstattung war eine Frechheit:Fast alle SchrĂ€nke waren leer. FĂŒr drei Personen gab es ein paar Töpfe, zwei Teller und etwas Besteck. Kein Salz, kein Zucker, kein Toilettenpapier, nichts. Eine Ferienwohnung ohne das absolute Minimum an Grundausstattung ist einfach beschĂ€mend.   In der Dusche war es unmöglich, die Wassertemperatur zu regulieren: Entweder kam das Wasser kochend heiß oder eiskalt, eine normale Einstellung war nicht möglich.“Der schlimmste Punkt kam beim Check-out:Im Vertrag stand, dass man gegen 50.000 Pesos einige Stunden lĂ€nger bleiben kann. Trotzdem klopfte punktgenau um 11 Uhr jemand an die TĂŒr und zwang uns zu gehen. Die EigentĂŒmerin wollte, dass wir einen ganzen zusĂ€tzlichen Tag bezahlen. Nach allem, was wir bereits erlebt hatten, ist das reine Abzocke.

Pictures need to be updated as the views on roof top are now obstructed. Beds and mattresses are very uncomfortable. Expected better quality for price we are paying. Hot water only lasted for about 2 minutes. Which I read in other reviews. Location was great but area is busy and lots of noise.

Place was ok. Could use a refresher. A little rundown. Lots of early construction noises next door all week running the sleep. Even on the weekends. 730am Great location otherwise with walking distance to Provenza and El Pablado areas. Could use more instructions on tvs etc. could get it too work except living room. Market, coffee close by and good Argentinian steakhouse on the street.

The review I wish I saw

This is a clean cut review of the stay I had at this property and it is one I wish someone would have left for me. The first day we arrived I was not able to get ahold of anybody for an hour and twenty minutes to check in and than when I finally did get ahold of the owner who by the way is very rude and mocks you like when u ask or request something wrong with the property. So let’s get into detail the roof was leaking massively by the stairs that goes to the rooftop and would leave huge puddles of water, the master bedroom window was also leaking water at a fast pace and most of my towels went to trying to control the floods that did damage some personal belongings. If u open any windows u have absolutely no privacy and there are dogs in the building that bark all day and night no exaggeration. The shower situation was by far the worst the hot water would last for one minute than you are literally taking an ice cold shower now I’ve been to medellin numerous times so I know hot water is not an issue. There was no spare blankets and the apartment was infested with ants. The Wifi was absolutely horrible to the point to where you don’t even have it. The jacuzzi had what look to be semen in it. Overall this place was my least favorite ever in medellin

Great spot but don’t expect much after you get the keys

I have stayed at many vacation properties and respect many of these are businesses who are there to make money. However, there is also a cost with abrasive customer service and lack of follow through. I don’t have any issues with this property, it’s spacious and centrally located for Medellin. Everything was in good working order with the exception of the water temperature consistency (not a complete problem if you like scolding hot or cold showers). The only thing I can say for the property management is to have a little understanding for foreign visitors to your property. I come to Medellin every month and stay in these properties but if I am not spoken to with respect or if I’m treated as I’m a problem when I ask simple questions, I won’t be a repeat customer. The only issue with the property I had was the grill would not light. I was told someone would be by that day but it took three days for someone to show up and ask about it; by then, we didn’t need the grill anymore and cooked inside. One good thing about the staff is Santiago, he was timely and very nice. I recommend everyone communicate with him vs top level management, it’s much more pleasant.

THANKSGIVING VACATION

If your all about partying and have a good time, this is your place. Absolutely know issues with noise, number of guests, music, etc.. Also, the other apartments in the building are partying and having fun... Dogs and roosters make noise all night.

Excellent location, somewhat poorly built and maintained.

Walking distance to amazing shopping, sights, and dining. Adequate towels, dishes, and appliances. On the negative side, it sounded like the downstairs neighbors were in the same room (and partying until 5:30 am). About 1/3 of the light bulbs were missing or broken, and we had little to no hot water. However, the maintenance man, Andrés, was very responsive and attentive both times we called.

Great location, walking distance from Parque Lleras. The plancha is where we hung out most of the time. Nice view, sounds system, fridge and sink up there as well. would recommend it to anyone. We might stay here again next time we go to Medellin
