Description

After a day enjoying all the Space Coast has to offer come back to your own private oasis!

Our home “Sweetpalm” is spacious and comfy with a large pool, and a super cool tiki bar on an acre in a country setting. We are an hour from the gates of Disney, and about seventeen minutes to beaches. Close to golf, restaurants, shopping, eco adventures and just 14 miles to the Space Coast Complex.

The kids will entertain themselves in the pool or playing a game of badminton or bean toss. The guys will hang in the tiki bar watching tv, playing ring toss, maybe even drinking a beer as they cook something wonderful on the grill. After dinner, maybe s’mores at the backyard fire pit. Even your doggies will be happy in the enormous fenced in back yard.

The Layout

Sweetpalm has a split bedroom plan with an open living and dining room, a wood burning fireplace, a game nook off the gourmet kitchen, comfy beds, smart TVs, and renovated bathrooms. Sweetpalm comfortably sleeps six with a king in the master suite, one queen and two twins. A pack and play is available if needed.

The Kitchen

Easily whip up delicious meals in the fully equipped gourmet kitchen. We live in Sweetpalm from October till end of May so this isn’t your typical rental. It is our home and we love to cook. We have pretty much every kitchen gadget or serving piece you will need, All Clad and Le Creuset cookware, a lobster pot, a paella pan, even a double boiler if you need to melt chocolate. We have an Instant Pot, Crock Pot and an air fryer. If you are the first one up, make a k-cup while preparing a full pot of coffee for the rest of your gang. You are welcome to use any of the pantry items, spices, flour, sugar, oil, etc.

The Neighborhood

Sweetpalm is in a safe and quiet country neighborhood on a dead-end street, but still convenient to shopping and adventures. The wooded property across the street is owned by a local rancher and is home to deer, turkeys, rabbits and every once in a while cows. We have neighbors with chickens and you can even buy fresh eggs two houses down.

Pets

We are happy to host your small well behaved dogs but do require you to obtain written approval from us first. There is a pet fee of $100.00. Because we allow dogs, if you have pet allergy issues, Sweetpalm will not be a good fit for you.

Security

We feel very safe in our neighborhood. We live in an area where the neighbors all know each other, we have golf cart parades and block parties and we all look out for each other.

In addition we have installed a security cameras on the front of the house. The cameras are aimed at the street and driveway. A picture of the area the cameras record are provided in the guest book for you.

We have a security alarm on the door going out to the pool that you may set if you are traveling with young children.

Military Discount/Other Discounts

10% discount is offered to active or retired U.S. military members, and a special offer will be sent after ID has been verified. Please contact us prior to booking so that we may apply the discount.

We don’t offer additional discounts..so please don’t ask. We believe Sweetpalm is priced appropriately for the area and amenities we offer.

Kind and respectful

We welcome EVERYONE, regardless of culture, gender, ethnicity and ideology, (ok, almost everybody, at least one of you has to be 30 or older). As long as you are kind, respectful, tidy, and house rules kind of following people, you are welcome in our home.

Guests with mobility issues

We have two steps up to enter the house, a small step down to the pool area, neither of the bathrooms are handicap accessible.


Check in check out

We offer seamless check in and check out. We will send you the codes for the lock three days before your arrival, easy-peasy! Our guest book should answer all your questions about the house, our favorite restaurants, parks, shopping and check-out instructions. If you have other questions we are happy to help. Check-in is at 4:00 p.m., and check-out is before 10:30 unless arranged before arrival.

Parking

Our long driveway has ample room for your cars and if you are bringing your boat to enjoy our great local fishing spots, no worries, lots of room for your trailer.

Lock Outs

Our home office and garage are locked out to renters. Two bedroom closets, a few drawers and cabinets are also locked. We have made ample provisions for your hanging clothes and there is plenty of drawer space.

Cleaning

Sweetpalm is professionally cleaned. Please rest assured that special precautions will be taken to assure disinfection of all surfaces between guests.

Pool Heater

The pool does have a heater, which is generally not turned on during summer months. The pool is set to 82 during winter months. The pool is very large and if nighttime temperatures get below 60 the pool will not heat up to 82.

The Space Coast


Melbourne is a great area, beautiful uncrowded beaches, close to Disney and the theme parks, Port Canaveral, and the Viera Sports Complex. Our Historic Downtown is unique with interesting shopping, restaurants and bars. If you have any special interests or requests, please ask.
