The entire building is so aesthetically pleasing. As a Merced native, it’s nice to see the upgrade to downtown. The rooms are stylish and modern, staff was very accommodating. There are no snack options for late night arrivals, though. That was the only downside.

The room I first booked had ear plugs next to the bed and I realized why because the windows must have been single paned because you could hear every car that came by and every train. Second the walls are paper thin because you could hear the next door having conversations and also the “actions” they are doing you could hear very easily. They moved us to a different room and it was better and didn’t have any noise issues after that. The staff was very accommodating with changing my room but just be aware some of the rooms might be noisy.
