How close is Tenuta Moriano to downtown Montespertoli?
We stayed as a family and enjoyed the properties facilities including pool swings and outdoor games. The Tuscan dinner was enjoyable with amazing views. Property in convenient to local restaurants and provided a great recommendation list. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return. Great value.
My only suggestion would be to provide some basics on arrival such as tea, coffee, milk. A hairdryer would also be useful.
This is a working winery and while the apartments are somewhat rustic and without air conditioning they provided much of the charm and experience that we were looking for during our stay in Tuscany. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the wines produced by the winery. Natalia and Roberta were especially friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the buffet dinner that was available on our first night that included delicious food and wines. We also took advantage of the daily breakfast since the location is somewhat remote. Alternatively, one could easily prepare their own breakfast in the apartment kitchen but we opted for the convenience. Although remote the property is conveniently located in the countryside about midway between Florence and Siena which were the two cities we planned to visit during our stay. There is a pool on the property and we did also enjoy a stroll into the vineyards one evening to watch the sunset. The reason for the lower rating with facilities is primarily around some plumbing inconvenience which was not confined to just our unit but was being appropriately addressed by the property and we did not experience any issues on our last couple of days. Overall, our experience was excellent and I would stay there again if I return to Tuscany.
We first stayed in Tenuta Moriano in 2005. We returned this summer for a 2nd stay. We were confused when we arrived as the resort was not the same. It was listed on Expedia as Tenuta Moriano but was actually a sister resort next door by the name of San Lorenzo. These are 2 different resorts and the listing did not mention that we were booking into the other one. Once we figured out where the resort was located we requested to see it and were informed that they would need to get this approved by the owned. We were finally able to view it and met with the very nice manager of that site and were able to move to the resort we thought we were booked into. Our stay at that location was wonderful. I think they need to update their web site to make it clear which resort is which.
