Horizon East 804 - Two Bedroom, Two Bath Oceanfront Condo

Horizon East 804 is a two-bedroom, two-bath oceanfront condo located 0.6 miles north of the Garden City Pier. This ocean facing unit has a fully-equipped kitchen complete with microwave and dishwasher, and living room with private balcony overlooking the beach, washer, dryer, and central heat and air conditioning. Three TVs (cable), DVD player, and Wi-Fi are also provided. Sleeping accommodations include one king and one queen-sized bed, plus a sofa bed. Common area includes a swimming pool, gazebo, grills and two elevators. Limit two pool gate access passes and one parking pass per unit at check-in. No trailers. No golf carts. No pets. No smoking. Maximum occupancy: 6

Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. Other points of interest include Marlin Quay Marina and restaurants Sara J's Seafood Restaurant, Gulfstream Cafe, and Original Sam's Corner.

Just south of Garden City Beach is Murrells Inlet, a seaside community considered the "Seafood Capital of South Carolina" and home to some of the nation's best golf courses. Once primarily a fishing village, the town is best known for the Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a half-mile-long boardwalk overlooking a pristine salt marsh, and the many award-winning restaurants along Highway 17 Business in the central business district.

Brookgreen Gardens, a sculpture garden and wildlife preserve built on four former rice plantations, is located slightly south of the MarshWalk. It features several themed gardens with American figurative sculptures, trails through several nature reserve ecosystems, and the Lowcountry Zoo.

If you're looking for places to shop, The Market Common, Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, two Tanger shopping outlets, Myrtle Beach Boardwalk and Promenade, and many more shopping facilities are all within an easy drive from Garden City Beach.

Looking for entertainment and attractions? Take in a show at Pirates Voyage, Medieval Times, Alabama Theater, The Carolina Opry, or Legends in Concert. Then visit SkyWheel Myrtle Beach, Ripley's Aquarium, WonderWorks, Ripley's Believe It Or Not Odditorium, Hollywood Wax Museum Entertainment Center, and The Pavilion Nostalgia Park.

Other points of interest close by include the waterfront community of Georgetown, the third oldest city in South Carolina and the second largest seaport in South Carolina, and historic Conway, with its downtown Riverwalk area nestled on the banks of the Waccamaw River. Both towns include fine dining, shopping, and historic sites.

Take a day trip to Charleston to experience shopping, a harbor cruise, a city carriage tour, or a plantation tour. Charleston is only 87 miles from Garden City Beach - approximately two hours. It's a picturesque and exquisitely preserved southern city with antebellum architecture, cobblestone streets, and historical landmarks.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The beach was great! I liked the Condo complex overall. Our condo was old and out dated. The floors were sticky and old. It could use a coat of fresh paint and some new patio furniture. We did enjoy out trip and would come back again, just to another unit.

Also want to give a HUGE thanks to Garden City Realty. We realized the day before we left that the pool at our reserved place was not in working order. I called and they set us up at a new place quickly. They were fantastic!! Wonderful vacation!!!
