I can say I booked the B&B with normal expectations. I travel often to Nassau so I'm always looking to good places to stay at good prices. Unfortunately this property is not one that I will recommend. The check-in process was a quick process. I booked prepaid so only a small charge for incidentals was done. Ok.vI was informed that breakfast is served free between 7am and 10am and that was it. No more info. The room was outdated and looks old. Bed was ok with clean sheets. In the bathroom the water supply was intermittent and one day we were completely without water. The drain on the sink was leaking to the floor. The Shower was ok but drain clogged easily. The 1st. morning I went for breakfast at 7:30and nobody was in the area. Wait and call but nobody showed up. Returned at 8 and wait until 8:30 and nobody showed up. There was another guest waiting but I can't wait longer so I left and have breakfast in another place. Later on my return at evening I asked what happened and lady told me she didn't know about nobody was there at breakfast. Next morning went for breakfast and the lady came to take my order. From the menú I selected the bagel with eggs and sausage. To my surprise what came was 1 bagel and 1egg scrambled. I asked if this is normal serving portions and lady said that's what management order. Imagine a big guy like me with a 1 egg scramble and 1 bagel breakfast. I can't recommend this place to anyone. Only good thing is close to airport location and good AC.

My fiancé and I had a quick 1 day stay in the Golden Palms. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and air conditioned, the pool area was beautiful, the breakfast was good and communication to get the airport shuttle and check in and check out was very simple and quick. There are a couple of places to eat within walking distance and if you want to go in town you can catch the bus for $2 right outside the gate. This was the perfect place for us and we can’t wait to come back!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Just a warning that there are multiple floor transitions and little steps of various heights everywhere. Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. Tiles and ramp at front entry inside are very slippery and dangerous. Quick access to and from airport which is great for a turnover.

Staff need to be more pleasant and welcoming. ALL. not one or 2, but ALL. The gardener was so nice. The property needs a male staff to lift guests' suitcases to their rooms. Steps and lack of elevator are not acceptable. The best service I love is to feel welcome and pleasant. The gardens need to be redone. The property needs to have transportation to downtown at a fee, maybe at a set time. The lack of pleasantness scares me and that is a turn-off for me. Staff faces are cold and not inviting. There is a lack of awareness of customer service overall. Services are delivered, YES, but they lack warmth.

There was a hidden charge; the room was extremely small; microwave in room not working; closet door broken; cupboard couldn't open because handles broken /missing and very worn; luke warm water from shower (couldn't turn all the way); lots of patch work in room... It was shocking that "this room" was rented at a cost almost $200 for just one night. Very, very disappointed!
