Wished this hotel had a pool or hot tub. For NY we were pleasantly surprised at the room size.

Good front desk service, but 1. ELEVATORS WERE HORRIBLE. Extremely slow the entire 3 days, and not just during the "busy times" of 8-10 and late afternoon. Other guests complained to us about same problem. Morning of our departure we waited 8 minutes at the doors on 14th floor. (We stayed in 1405.) Finally took stairs down to checkout after call to front desk. Desk clerk told us "it would probably be faster to walk down from there." This was around 10:15, as I recall, maybe later. 2. SLOW RESPONSE TO REPEATED CALLS FOR HELP: took half an hour and 3 phone calls to Guest Services to get a new hair dryer delivered to the room between 7 and 7:30 a.m. the first morning of our stay. When we called the first time, we figured we'd be seeing the new unit in a few minutes, so my wife got into the shower. Not so. After 10 minutes the unit hadn't yet arrived, so I called again, two more times. Finally got the new unit at 7:30.

Friendly staff

Staff are friendly and very helpful. Has smile on their face and polite. The only problem we encounter was the water was very hot and no cold water. Enginneer did not come after 30 min so i have to call again an waited another 10 min and i had appointment that morning and i wanted to take shower first. Then the next day the water was so cold and no hot water this time so we waited and run water for long time until hot water came out the faucet.Other than this problem our stay was overall great!

Nice facility but disappointing experience

After reserving a single room with 2 double beds through Travelocity back in February for a trip to New York in May, I was disappointed to get to the hotel and be told there were no single rooms with two beds available. My sister and I were offered two separate rooms with, I believe, king beds. We were told the rooms would be next to each other. The upshot is we ended up in separate rooms that actually were not next to each other, defeating the purpose for meeting up with my sister for family time. Further, the hotel employees involved did not appear to be particularly concerned, even though my sister and I were upset. We received two $50 gift cards for the adjoining restaurant, but that concession was at my suggestion. There was no proactive effort on the part of the employees involved to make up for the bait and switch. Unacceptable.

Would stay again without hesitation

Excellent hotel staff... everybody very friendly!! Room was small, as expected, but very clean and comfortable and worked just fine for one person. Stayed at the back of the hotel and was very quiet at night, bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows. A bit of a wait for elevators during the peak times, just plan accordingly. Great location - easy walk to Times Square, Central Park or subway. Plenty of dining choices close by from a nice sit down to a quick bite.

Where I stay is important to me

Pros: Restaurant in hotel. Nice room. Great location.
Cons: hmm.... ? ? ?
My room was luxurious. I felt safe in the hotel and surrounding area. No worries. No complaints.

Location: metro station only one block away, an excellent diner called AppleJacks just around the corner, overall great location.
Check-in was a breeze, very friendly staff who were extremely helpful. Free internet was fast and reliable, free access to their 24-hr business office where I printed my boarding pass at no charge.
