I loved the hotel, it was very clean & staff were warm/friendly BUT the noise was so bad I did not sleep. There was construction/street noise all night. I would not recommend sleeping in a room that’s on the street side. Very disappointing. And also the hotel did not have an open bar. It was closed.

Front desk staff needs some major help when it comes to customer service and troubleshooting through issues. I had put a request in for my reservation for an early check in and late check out. Didn’t hear if either requests were going to be fulfilled. asks if I booked for a high floor room, I said, “I booked for the superior king room; didn’t mention anything of it being a high floor.” Her response back to me, “well it looks like we do not have your room reservation available, you can either speak to a manager or we give you some monies back.” I didn’t say anything right away because I was confused on what “options” she gave me because neither of them involved in her communicating what IS available so I had to ask. She said all that was available was a double bed room; I was not really looking forward to a small bed and room for my whole stay. At this point I am wanting to just cancel the whole reservation and get a full refund but then she went and talked to someone else. She comes back and all of the sudden there are a number of different king bed rooms available. We got a king bed room but still not the original room I reserved. Was told I would be given a credit but no idea if that actually happened because upon check out a different front desk person told me, “nope; you booked with a 3rd party so you don’t get one.” Skip this hotel.

Great location with easy access to the metro and plenty of shopping nearby. Street noise can be noticeable until at least midnight. Most of the team members were friendly and attentive. We were able to leave our luggage before our room was ready, as well as after check-out – very useful and free of charge! I would definitely stay again!

The hotel in general shows wear and tear. I'm sure this is because of its age. Surprisingly the size of the room was good and it was clean. It is in the heart of NYC, so noise is expected. Staff were very friendly.

The place is a contradiction. Three staffers are the top that I've met anywhere, but two are much less. The room itself is pleasant, but the NOISE! Night 1 a jackhammer kept me awake until 12:30 am or 1am. Night 2 was sirens & motorcycles. All noise was from the street in front of the hotel and I was staying in the back,on the 10th floor!. The dim bathroom is the size of notebook, - small and dysfunctional. Barely any light, the toilet takes three flushes to work, even when nothing is being flushed. There's no countertop, just a sink. The bathroom is so dark, I couldn't put on my makeup because I couldn't see details. The room phone worked until a housekeeper came in and disconnected it. I couldn't get it to work, despite needing to contact the front desk for a 4:30 am checkout. I told two different people that my phone was not working, but no one ever tried to get it to work, and no one told anyone else who might be replacing them, so the people at the front desk said "I called you, and called you, but there was no answer". HAH! On the 10th floor, where I was staying, the fire doors to the elevator were regularly propped open that means serious fire-life safety danger. I told two people at the front desk about this, but no one did anything. The most annoying was that there is no restaurant in the hotel for breakfast. Just a place for lunch, dinner parties. No microwave, no kettle. I asked for and finally got a kettle, but no microwave. No breakfast.

The hotel is centrally located. There is a subway station at the end of the block and there are multiple restaurants on the same street. The hotel itself is charming, clean, and decorated well. The staff was pleasant and helpful. However, the bathroom that I had in my room was not one featured in any picture online, including the picture of the room that I booked. The bathroom was so small. There was a tiny triangular shaped sink that butted up to the toilet with no counter space You couldn’t even put the floor mat down and open the door. It was very inconvenient to get ready and store my toiletries. I had to keep most of my stuff in the room. I would stay there again, but only if they could confirm that my room would have the bathroom that it shows pictured with it. Also, my Expedia points said that I would receive a free drink per guest with my stay, however the bar in the lobby is I key for decoration. And when I asked about it they said that they could deliver something to my room, but I never excited anything.

Nice hotel in a good location for getting around the city. The only issue was Jasmine at the front desk. Let’s just say Ms Personality. We had an early flight to NYC and got to the hotel around 11 am. When we arrived we told her we knew it was early for a check in and would like to leave our bags in storage. She told us the room was ready but if we wanted to check in early she would have to charge us an extra $75. This is on top of the $877 we were already paying for a one night stay!! We opted to just store our luggage and retrieve it at check in.

Great Hotel

The staff at the hotel are all very professional. The rooms are very comfortable. The location is walkable and there are numerous places to eat in the area.
