The Hotel Frisia is a small modern hotel overlooking the port in Beaulieu sur Mer. It has probably been modernised quite recently so it looks clean and fresh. The staff don't seem to be overly friendly but this is fairly typical in small hotels in France. The rooms are clean and tidy with modernised bathrooms. The range of food available for breakfast is limited but it's good value compared to other options nearby. The main problem with the hotel is its location at a busy roundabout on the coast road to Monaco and points east. The traffic noise is incessant from early morning to late at night. My room was well sound proofed when the sliding doors to the balcony were closed and the steel shutter fully lowered so my sleep wasn't disturbed. However it was impossible to sit at the table on the balcony for any length of time.

This hotel needs an update. It feels like you go back to circa 1998 when you enter the premises.
The lift takes forever to arrive and for the doors to shut, there is no mini-fridge in the room, which should be a pre-requisite ( especially at these prices. One of the staff on reception was extremely cheerful and helpful, and the other one was the complete opposite.
I was most disappointed with having a twin room without a double bed~ just two single beds pushed together. The only power socket usable was at the other end of the room which made for great inconvenience when trying to charge ipads / phones.
The only positives were having a decent sized balcony with a view, electronic shutters that blacked out the room, and perfect air-conditioning.
At these prices, basic standards should be much higher.
The view is amazing. The rooms are small (especially the bathroom). Rooms not equip to standard commensurate with price. We didn’t even have a small fridge in the room to keep the beer or wine chilled.
This is one of my favorite hotels in the area. Great for families or single travellers. Has a pool, sun deck. I really liked the bath tub in the room.I travel often and it is a joy to stay here.

Poor
The middle aged ladies at the front desks were not welcoming at all to non French speakers. I had booked a 2 twin sized bed room, but when we arrived we got a queen sized bed and was told that the hotel is fully booked. Those ladies told us to use the sofa bed, if we wanted separate beds that badly. The men who were working there during the night were very nice on the other hand. The room was big and spacious which we enjoyed but the AC does not work.
Very nice, clean hotel. Employees were very professional. We received an upgrade without requesting one! The view on the harbor is beautiful. Rooftop terrace, pool,… very nice amenities. The breakfast was great. The only negative point would be slow internet.
Enjoyed the charming waterfront location with easy access and friendly service at the nearby shops, restaurants and cafes--a little bit of French goes a long way. However, the 2 bedroom apartment at the hotel Frisia was run down and not worth the price. It seemed like the room was lost in the 1990's and hadn't been updated in decades. Unfortunate too that the staff were less than helpful when we had questions about services in the area. The only redeeming quality was the variety and freshness of the breakfast buffet and the comfortable bed. Next time, we'll look elsewhere for a place to stay.
Great location on Marina front and nearby beach club, easy to walk to everything. It had a balcony where we sat and had our own breakfast, lovely mountains view.
Nice comfy bed and nice bathroom. Pool was bonus but a little chilly.
We really enjoyed our stay. The location cannot be beat. Water view and 5-8 min walk to the train station. We would return.
A consideration for the hotel which would improve the rating: coffee pot in room . A small fridge in room. The breakfast service in the lobby was very good .
