The staff was very friendly. The room was clean. Downside was the sheets were very scratchy, and the mattress was extremely hard. Other than that, it was a nice hotel.

Upon driving to our room, our first impression was an upholstered chair sitting out front with a cushion with a large tear down the front (a negative first impression). We entered the room and it smelled fresh and clean. The lamps and furniture looked to be very old and not in the best of shape, baseboards looked pretty rough too. It appeared as though work had been done to update the property. So in all fairness the owners may be working on the units.

Staff accommodated our late arrival which was great. Room was simple motel room, but we were there to sleep before continuing to Yosemite and the hotel worked great that. Breakfast was simple but a nice for running out the door.

The room itself was nice, however, the deadbolt was not aligned properly and couldn't be engaged. If I didn't have my dogs with me I would have insisted on a different room. But, no one was coming in with them there. Also, the smoke detector wasn't hooked up. The cover was missing and the wires were hanging out. I was going to report these things on check out but no one was at reception and I didn't have time to hang out and wait.

The room was clean. Parking is partially concealed from street view, offering added privacy. The staff did an excellent job explaining directions. Breakfast is very good and the view from both the dining area and terrace is impressive. Wi-Fi could be improved.

The door would not close, door on bathroom fell off, remote for tv didn’t work, beds were uncomfortable, smoke alarm had no cover.. don’t know if it worked??? Male office clerk was wonderful!!
