Located in Sunset Island a gated community on 67th St. in Ocean City MD w/security outdoor pool one mile trail corner store interactive fountain restaurant/bar on the bay fishing/crabbing pier private bay front beaches. The 1st floor has private den w/queen sleeper sofa half bath & laundry room. 2nd floor has a large open kitchen w/granite countertop plus family room & half bath. Bay view deck off the kitchen. 3rd floor has primary suite w/king bed & large full bathroom - double sinks shower & soaking tub.

Hallmark movie set

Beautiful location. The street looked the the set of a Hallmark movie. Nice amenities had a great time. House was as advertised . The owners might do a solid by replacing the 1st floor pull out sofa that is a complete waste of sleep space. The pullout was totally unusable for sleeping just put a double bed mattress for guest to have more comfortable sleep space as nobody os using that room for anything else .

Great location but needs some TLC

Absolutely love Sunset Island and it’s location. I have stayed at a few other places and this was in a great location but definitely needs some work. First, the locks need to be changed or fixed. It took multiple tries and many minutes to get the lock to work, so much so I called the rental agency to tell them we had the wrong keys. The house layout itself is great, plenty is space and nice size rooms. The furniture is not in the best shape. One table had the leg on top of the table, and the sofas were so dirty I avoided sitting on them. The steps and carpet were dirty, really need a good vacuuming. The bath mats (white) were dirty and the toothpaste wasn’t even cleaned off of the faucet. There was also left over hair in the bathroom from the previous tenants. And I don’t think the stove was even wiped off, leftover food & grease all over it. The place really needs a good cleaning! One other issue was the smoke detector kept beeping, so my husband had to disconnect it. They did send a repairman out the next day to resolve that and he greased the lock which was helpful but we ultimately just used the garage door opener. I have stayed at many places and this would not rank high on my list. Also, there are no extra touches so need to bring everything, TP, paper towels, hand soaps, and kitchen supplies. This place has a lot of potential, just needs some basic care.

Overall review

This townhome was in a great location! It was spacious and had ample room for all of us and the view was great! Negatives: the house was very dirty , it definitely needs some TLC! Pull out bed mattress in Den was paper thin! The one table was broken! Smoke detectors have not been checked battery alerts went off all weekend. Furniture in family room was beyond worn and so dirty! Cabinets had grease on them and overall cleaning was poor to say the least! Lightbulbs in master bathroom were all blown out, shades broken throughout! I would not rent this unit again! However development and security guys were awesome and Coastal company was great!

Great location

This townhouse was spacious for a big group. Close to pool and beach. Loved the view. Beds adequately comfortable. It was a little lacking in cleanliness, as we had to wipe out drawers and cabinets before using. Overall the unit worked well for our group.

Three families (4 adults and 3 teen girls) were in for a long weekend for a softball tournament. Location was great, loved the tree lined streets and the house met our needs. Love the quick walk to the beach on bayside.

Overall Wonderful Stay

Overall, this was a great location that was well suited to our needs. It was a beautiful and peaceful location. We would have preferred it to be a bit cleaner (there was a spill in a cabinet, hair on the wall in a shower, etc). I deducted a start for check in as you need to go to a secondary location to check in, which was only listed in the "Directions" to the location that we received at the last minute. We received 2 keys and 1 garage clicker, which caused some mix ups with our large group; having a code would have been preferred. There was a mixup with the linens, which was handled promptly (just be sure to check your linens before the office closes at 5) Overall though, it was a great facility, and the above issues were minor.

Great location

We stayed here with our family for 4 days, and have stayed on Sunset Island many times in the last 5 years. This home is located on the main street leading into Sunset island, close to the pool (ideal for families with kids) and a short walk to stores and the beach. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for what we needed. They even had a red beach wagon in the garage which was definitely great to use! Our main problems were parking and cleanliness. It is advertised as having 3 parking spaces but the garage only fits one car because the AC units block the entrance way for a 2nd car, and the driveway fits only one car. You can't park on the street (clamshell parking) with the parking permits they give you. Just something to be aware of if you are traveling with more than 2 cars. The cleanliness of the house was some of the worst we have seen. The stairs weren't vacuumed, the kitchen trash had not been emptied and the dishwasher was full. The wood floors were sticky and the 2 showers we used still had hair in them. The only things that were truly clean were the kitchen refrigerator and microwave. I would expect more since the cleaning fee is astronomical.

Great location!

We have stayed in several TH's on Sunset Island. It's a great location and we love the amenities there. This property was fairly comparable to other TH's we have stayed in, but the furniture in the main family room was pretty dirty in this one.

A lot of TLC needed but great location.

This unit was great for location to beach and lagoon with a family especially with small children. The unit was clean but overall needed to have as my husband put it a lot of TLC. On the whole the unit needed to be updated and refreshed. Maintenance was also of major concern. Major issues were broken tiles in 4th floor shower, broken hand rail going to 3rd floor, loose legs on dining room chairs, broken toilet seat (fixed quickly), broken plastic chairs on all balconies. Master bedroom had missing curtain hardware on one of the 2 windows, all these issues gave the unit a sad tired feel. With all of this being said the management was very helpful and we did have a wonderful vacation. We definitely will consider staying at Costal Resorts again but not at 41 Island Edge Drive unless considerable updating of unit has been done.

Good Beach House Vibes in an Excellent Community

I didn’t even know Ocean City had gated communities. This property is clean but in need of a few minor repairs... broken outdoor chairs, loose railing on the stairs, comb webs/spiders here and there, broken tile in bathroom on top floor, some vents are rusted, TVs in bedrooms do not change channels (luckily I brought our firestick) but still I’d give the house a 8/10. It is conveniently located for any family - close to stores, restaurants and fun. The community is genuinely adorable. Everyone we met - property owners, guests, security, dock maintenance - everyone was beyond friendly. The house offered excellent views of the bay from the 4th floor. The communities private beach/pool area is perfect for families with small children who don’t want to pack up everything to cross the highway. I would definitely stay again off-season when the price is rent is more affordable.

Great place and location

Very nice place and location. Only problem we had was that only the tv in the living room worked . All the others would not connect . We streamed everything to the other TVs so it was fine . Besides that the stay was great

Great Family Place

Location is perfect, ocean is an easy 10 minute walk. Sunset Island has everything you need and if not a quick 5 minute walk will let you get what you need. Kids loved the Splash park since pool was limited to only 100. Would recommend that passes for number of guests be automatically included in rentals and not limited to 6, easier to have them paid with rental price than purchasing later. The whole family had a fantastic time!

A Great Spot!

We really enjoyed our stay at Island Edge #41 over 4th of July Weekend. The neighborhood is very private, set just off the main strip. The location is great, with easy ocean beach access on 67th street and plenty of restaurants/activities nearby. We did not get to enjoy many of the onsite amenities due to COVID limitations, but look forward to trying those in the future! I would definitely recommend this property.

Great location but unit needs some attention

The location of the townhouse is great - beautiful bay views, great proximity to the clubhouse area, and an easy walk to the beach. The townhouse itself was not very clean and could use some updating. There were broken tiles in the bathroom shower, handrail on stairs detached from wall, carpet is badly stained and air conditioning was not working well on main level.
