Good hotel

Location: Pro. 2 train stations (different lines) pass by the hotel. Many small shops and restaurants are withing walking distance. Con: Driving there is a bit difficult, and the secondary parking lot is about a 5 minute walk away from the hotel. Hotel: Pro. The restaurant was satisfying and not too overly priced. There is a public bathhouse on the first floor. It's very basic, so don't expect an "Onsen" experience. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Con. The beds are standard size, so if you are thinking of sharing a bed, get a larger bed or another bed. The room was a bit cramped, but ergonomic.

We got the feeling this is more a business hotel than a tourist one because although we had a subway station around the corner, everything sight-seeing worthy was an hour away. That said, the hotel was very neat and spacious for Japan. The breakfast buffet was small but well stocked. The staff was very friendly as well.

They tried to charge 50% more than the confirmed booking rate and took over 45 mins of, at first, very polite, then normal and eventually, quite angry conversation for them to finally check in at the agreed rate. NOT A GOOD START!!

Small compact rooms very clean and comfortable staff where extreemly helpful, TV was a little small and lacked internet services such as Netflix and Youtube compared to the Route inn we stayed at in Tokyo. We also missed the availability of a Handy Mobile Phone which proved very useful in the Tokyo Route Inn.
