Read my previous rating regarding the location of the hotel. This rating is different due to separate check in to another room. We were pleased with the size of the room. However, the bathroom wallpaper was peeling and amenities requires an update, the bed room windows were dusty by the bed boards and our pillows were old with slight colouring.

Walking distance to doutonbori. Easy to get around to other sights such as kuromon fish market and shinsaibashi market. The breakfast option was good. We attempted to visit the onsen at night but it was too busy.

Very nice hotel. It’s right in the middle of Dotonburi, so you’re in the thick of things. The hotel is a blend of western and traditional; while the rooms are not ryokan with bedding on the floor, the entire hotel is covered in tatami mats and shoes are not worn once you pass the front desk. We received free water and fresh towels daily, and there was a water machine downstairs, so no need to buy water at all during our stay. The rooms were good size, toilet and shower rooms were separated and well appointed. Very clean. The best part about this hotel was the on-site public onsen, which had a hot spring, cold tub and sauna. Bear in mind that onsens are gender segregated and one must be in the nude while using it; but assuming you don’t have any hang ups, it’s a great way to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. Great hotel and one we’d stay in again if visiting Osaka.
