The cabin itself was cute, cozy, and had that charming Lincoln log/rustic feel we were hoping for. It was a little dark inside, but overall we enjoyed the aesthetic and location.Unfortunately, our experience was marred by a very unpleasant encounter with the host.. and it happened on my wedding day. While I was literally sitting in the makeup chair getting ready for my wedding ceremony(which was happening later within Mt. Rainier), the host came to the cabin door not once, but twice with an attacking attitude/demeanor. There had been a misunderstanding about events being allowed onsite- (which at the time of our stay, events were allowed).Instead of addressing it calmly and respectfully, she approached with an aggressive tone, accusing me of being deceptive and interrupting while I was trying to explain myself. Given the occasion, the timing and tone of her voice was completely inappropriate and unnecessarily stressful. All plans post ceremony were quickly changed and this was for the better as I felt the host would have been watching closely at our cabin/event.While I can appreciate the charm of the cabin itself, the interaction left me feeling shaken during what should have been a joyful, stress-free morning. On a separate note- if you are needing a place to have an event, we highly recommend Packwood Brewery!
