Amazing stay at the ATH

After several weeks of research on hotel review sites we decided on staying at the ATH for a family vacation to Panama. Overall we must say our stay surpassed our expectations and we would definitely stay there again. Location: Being smack in the middle of Casco Viejo, we enjoyed the antiquity of the surroundings. It was next door to a great little square and a fantastic church. It was easy to get an Uber from the airport and from the hotel to anywhere else in Panama City. There were numerous walking location restaurants, bars, cafes, bakeries and a convenient small grocery just across the street. Its a 15min walk to the Metro, that was convenient, cheap and on time. We thought the walk was safe but may be subjective based on your travel experiences. Room: The room was spacious and quite high ceilinged. Comfortable bed and our room had an accessible wrap around balcony. Convenient for a morning or afternoon coffee or glass of wine. Good wifi signal and speed and a useful smart TV. A bar with fridge came in useful. Some previous reviews complained about noise around Plaza Herrera. We are deeper sleepers so that didnt affect us, though on weekends you were likely to hear the music extend into early morning hours. If you are a light sleeper we recommend you ask for a room facing the church instead of the park as that might reduce the volume a bit. Staff: Did everything to make our stay comfortable and informed. Xtra thanks to Arturo who was Excellent in making our stay great!

Colonial style hotel

The location is terrific. Restaurants are in walking distance. The buildings architecture is colonial but done tastefully. The hotel staff very kind and friendly. Service was great!

Beautiful hotel and room! Wonderful area to explore. Very safe. Easy for ubers amd taxis. Helpful staff. Area can get noisy at night on weekends but hotel provides ear plugs. Overall very impressed!

O hotel é muito bonito, bem conservado e com um staf super gentil e pronto a ajudar. O quarto é espaçoso e muito confortável, porém na sexta-feira e sábado à noite, o nosso quarto era em frente a uma praça com um bar no terraço de um dos restaurantes perto. A música era muito alta até de madrugada e isso foi o único inconveniente desse hotel. Se não fosse por este detalhe, seria simplesmente perfeito.

What a great hotel in a fabulous part of Casco Viejo! The staff was amazing and attentive. So friendly and helpful , right down to the door man. The location right across from Plaza Herrera was perfect for people watching and had many great bars and restaurants in the area. You gotta stay at this hotel!
